This position has tactical responsibilities of operations in the Waste Water Treatment and Plant Utilities areas including steam, air and water. This includes safety, environmental permit compliance and quality, production, costs, management and customers. This position has approximately 12 direct reports including union hourly production and salaried non-exempt.
45% - Review, monitor and follow-up on area results as well as communicating with other operational areas. This includes resource allocation to mitigate issues and elevating concerns in a timely manner.
25% - Day-to-day supervision and development of department employees (coaching, etc.).
15%- Partner with Maintenance and Reliability team on proactive work schedule to minimize unscheduled downtime due to equipment failures.
10%- Work with Regional/Global Manufacturing Technology Teams to identify opportunities through cost reduction and efficiency gains and support those opportunities to completion.
5% - Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as necessary.
Bachelor of Science in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline OR 5 years operations experience
2 years technical experience in engineering, production, or operations
Working knowledge of Food Safety, OSHA, and Environmental regulations
Technical knowledge and experience with process unit operations.
Technical knowledge and experience with Wastewater Treatment and/or Facility Utilities including Steam Boilers, Air Compressors and Water Distribution Systems
Class A or higher Indiana Wastewater Certification
Working knowledge and experience in Reliability Excellence process
Green Belt Certified or actively pursuing.
