Piper Companies is actively seeking a Utilities Process Engineer to join a global pharmaceutical organization that looks to provide solutions for chronic diseases. The Utilities Process Engineer will support new projects, equipment, and utilities throughout an API facility. The ideal candidate will have mechanical troubleshooting abilities in a production environment. This will be a Monday - Friday, 8:00 - 4:30 PM position in the Raleigh, NC area.
Responsibilities of the Utilities Process Engineer:
Utilize process and instrumentation diagrams to detect issues in the facility (pumps, valves, tanks, distillation columns)
Own change control requests and address deviations
Identify and implement process improvement measures on existing equipment throughout the facility
Complete validation protocols on equipment and maintain safety while handling raw materials and chemicals such as phosphoric acid, nitric acid, sodium hydroxide, citric acid, ethanol, etc.
Provide routine support and troubleshoot mechanical issues
Maintain compliance with GMP regulations
Qualifications of the Utilities Process Engineer:
B.S./M.S. in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, or a related field of study
1-5 years of experience in an engineering production environment or related field
Experience in troubleshooting mechanical issues in equipment such as pumps, valves, tanks, distillation columns, etc.
Experience with regulated environment's that have abided by FDA, OSHA, or EPA rules
Compensation of the Utilities Process Engineer:
$40-$60/hr., depending on relevant industry experience
