Job Description Summary We have a great opportunity for an ambitious and experienced Utilities Maintenance Mechanic to join our Engineering Department at our beautiful state-of-the-art Portsmouth facility by the New Hampshire seacoast. The Utilities Maintenance Mechanic provides support to the site by operating and performing daily checks on Utility equipment and assisting higher-level mechanics with repairs in compliance with company and departmental SOPs. Individual will work in a fast-paced, safety-oriented, team environment and will performs tasks that are routine in nature where the ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required.

Individual will maintain records to comply with Good Manufacturing Practice requirements to include detailed documentation of work performed in both electronic and written form.

Key Responsibilities:
Proven ability to perform all work safely.

Execute routine work orders as assigned by Facilities Supervisor/Lead Mechanic. Assist in preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs of plant and utility systems in the Portsmouth manufacturing facility and maintains the Utility areas in a state of inspection readiness at all times. Maintain records to comply with Good Manufacturing Practice requirements.

Maintaining current training on all related aspects of job. Interested? What we need you to have: Diploma or Equivalent.

Some experience in a related maintenance environment preferred. Commercial maintenance experience preferred. Demonstrated working knowledge of shop math, ability to read and write, and basic mechanical knowledge.

Demonstrated ability to utilize troubleshooting/hand tools and can read complex mechanical, piping and equipment drawings. Basic computer skills are required. Demonstrated ability to comprehend and apply Standard Operating Procedures on a continual basis in all facets of the job.

Level begins training on higher level quality documents (trackwise deviations, change controls, tasks, assessments, VCNs, Quality Tagouts; DMS ownership, document creation, DCFs), becomes part of the rotation for scheduling (aspen, production schedule, PMOP/RMOP/PCOP, changeover), training on SAP Report Generation, Oversight of Decco contractors, trains to become SME & Trainer, learns the process of Equipment Analysis (PI spreadsheet), learns the methodology for LOTO/Boundary Analysis, Spares ordering, A3 Projects, Team organization (Package creation, spares requisition, package updates), work order execution.
