Job Description
Job Summary
AECOM is seeking a Utilities Construction Technician (CEI Inspector) to support NCDOT and municipal construction projects. The position will be an embedded position at the NCDOT Division 7 offices in Greensboro, NC.
Responsibilities:
- Provides utility coordination services for highway and bridge projects in the NCDOT Division 7 area which includes Guilford, Alamance, Rockingham, Caswell, and Orange counties.+ Reads and interprets highway and bridge construction plans to coordinate public and private utility relocations to accommodate projects.+ Performs a variety of tasks in support of highway and bridge construction activities.+ Activities may include inspection of engineering installations for compliance with specifications; maintaining project documentation; assisting with the inspections and/or oversight of building, repair, or maintenance of a structure, utility installations (power, gas, telephone, communications, water, and sewer), etc.+ Responsible for monitoring conformance to quality, performance, specifications and/or code requirements by performing inspection duties.+ Performs field inspections and/or audit duties and maintains inspection records. Ensures all contract documents represented by working drawings and specifications are properly executed.+ Enforces AECOM's policies, procedures and related work rules as established by Project Management Team.+ Relies on general to moderately complex knowledge of procedures, company policies, and business practices to plan and accomplish goals.
Additional Comments:
- Weekend and night work may be required.+ Overnight travel may be required (
