WHAT WE CAN ACHIEVE TOGETHER

The Utah Development Operations Manager (UDOM) leads the Utah operations functional team within our Development program. The UDOM will be responsible for managing operational services that delivers on performance metrics, data analysis, financial reporting and budgeting, stewardship, research, special events and/or trips to a field program in the Utah Development department.

The UDOM will work toward meeting the strategic priorities of the Utah Development program by working with the Director of Development (DOD) to construct and manage a multi-year strategic fundraising plan focused on major and principal gifts, donor stewardship and engagement, and operational support. They will manage guidelines and analyze data to achieve results, improve workflow, and solve problems. Under the direction of the DOD, they will ensure the Utah Development team's work is a collaborative and well-integrated effort within the Utah Chapter and across the organization and are responsible for aligning Utah's fundraising efforts with the Utah strategic plan, TNC's 2030 conservation goals and TNC's global campaign. The UDOM examines key metrics and lead indicators of progress and will assist the DOD in the annual goal-setting process. The UDOM provides advice and guidance, oversees training and team effectiveness, and works closely with the Utah Marketing team to ensure on-time delivery of marketing deliverables and special event outcomes. Working closely with the DOD, this position is responsible for managing performance metrics, data analysis, and administrative support for the team. They will lead diverse activities, develop complex processes, project outcomes, and initiate solutions to improve effectiveness. The UDOM will work in TNC's CRM to pull and manage lists, pull reports and analyze data. The UDOM will serve as team leader for the enhancement of systems and tools used by the team and will leverage constructive and effective relationships with a wide range of people, including senior management and public and private sector colleagues.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years related experience or equivalent combination.

  • Experience managing and implementing multiple projects.

  • Experience supervising staff, interns, and/or volunteers.

  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.

  • Detailed oriented and proficient in interpreting guidelines and manipulating, analyzing, and interpreting data.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Multi-lingual skills and multi-cultural or cross-cultural experience appreciated.

  • Ability to manage and implement complex processes.

  • Strong management skills.

  • Ability to work in partnership with others in a collaborative role.

  • Demonstrated ability to conceive and write creatively for various audiences.

  • Knowledge of current and evolving trends in the specific field, preferably in a non-profit environment.

  • Experience with current and evolving technology in relevant field.

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams.

  • Experience, coursework, or other training in principles and practices of relevant field.

  • Strong organization, planning, and problem-solving skills.

  • Successful experience implementing strategic program goals.

  • Understanding of accounting practices.

Employment in this position will be contingent upon completion of a Vehicle Use Agreement, which may include a review of the prospective employee's motor vehicle record.

SALARY INFORMATION

The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position is generally within the range of $76,720 - $81,515 for annual base salary. This range only applies to candidates whose country of employment is the USA. Where a successful candidate's actual pay will fall within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including, for example, the candidate's location, qualifications, specific skills, and experience. Please note countries outside the USA would have a different pay range in the local currency based on the local labor market, and not tied to USA pay or ranges. Your geographic location will be confirmed during the recruitment.
