Position Summary

Assists Clients and Customers in a call center environment, via telephone, e-mail or chat, with orders, inquiries, requests, problem resolution, and feedback regarding products & services. Consults with Clients and Customers to identify additional needs related to the products or services. Recommends appropriate products, services, or solutions. Works on assigned client programs. Performs duties in a courteous, efficient, and professional manner.

Key Duties / Responsibilities

  • Ability to engage and effectively communicate with French or English speaking clients and customers

  • Identifying the customer's needs, fulfilling their requests while providing excellent customer service

  • May be responsible for inbound and/or outbound calls depending on assignment

  • Entering & processing orders, requesting reprints/credits, processing cancel/change requests, requesting reprints/credits

  • Ensuring security and privacy of customer's information

  • Providing education and support regarding products and services

  • Offers appropriate products, services, and solutions to meet customer needs

  • Maintains complete and accurate records of all call activity as required

  • Works within a team environment maintaining a professional appearance and a quality work atmosphere

  • Monitoring & tracking data of individual performance

  • Recommends appropriate products, services, or solutions

  • Performs duties in a courteous, efficient, and professional manner

Experience & Skills Preferred

  • Experience in customer contact center, customer service, previous banking or retail environment preferred

  • Able to multitask

  • Detail-oriented

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Basic computer skills

Education & Knowledge Required

  • HS Diploma/GED required

  • French language skills - highly proficient

As a Diabetes PrimaryCare Sales Specialist inSalt Lake City, UT, you'll play a pivotal role in channeling our scientific capabilities to make a positive impact on changing patients' lives. AstraZeneca's strategy in CVMD is a patient-centric approach to disease treatment, so we are tackling multiple risk factors by uniting our cardiovascular (CV), metabolic and chronic kidney disease (CKD) areas into one integrated approach – cardiovascular and metabolic disease (CVMD). This approach means we look at the CVMD patient as a whole, rather than by disease area because we know that cardiovascular disease is a well-known consequence of diabetes and CKD. Each of our focus areas seeks to further reduce morbidity, mortality and organ damage by addressing multiple risk factors across cardiovascular (CV) disease, diabetes, and chronic kidney-disease indications. The patient-centric approach is reinforced by science-led life-cycle management programs and technologies, including early research into regenerative methods. Main Duties and Responsibilities: You will develop superior product and disease state knowledge and effectively educate and engage healthcare professionals in dialogue about clinical evidence, approved indications, and product efficacy/safety profiles to support on-label prescribing for appropriate patients. You will function independently with a high degree of sales proficiency to drive sales performance and ensure sales forecasts and assigned budgets to meet or exceed therapeutic and territory expectations. You will successfully complete training requirements, including product examinations. By developing and maintaining in-depth knowledge of the market, demographic, and managed care information relative to your assigned sales territory, you will be able to work with your Regional Sales Director and District Sales Manager to develop a local strategy and business plan to generate recognizable increases of sales in your territory. You will capitalize on formulary approvals and other opportunities through effective implementation of the Strategic Targeting Plans by using a wide variety of promotional, personnel resources and analytical tools to maximize effectiveness in an assigned sales territory, based on local assessment of customer needs. You will provide special education to healthcare providers through appropriate programs that fall within AstraZeneca's ethical guidelines. Work with other Pharmaceutical Sales Specialists around common objectives to coordinate selling efforts.
