Our Healthcare client is looking to add a new team member to focus on UX Research. Must have UX research experience, a passion for user centered and insights-informed design, have confidence in presenting research to groups, an ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional agile team. Responsibilities ? Conduct a variety of user research methods across HealthPartners? public and authenticated portals (such as card sorting, tree testing, usability testing) ? Conduct user and SME interviews ? Communicate actionable user insights to project teams ? Work with Product Owners, UI designers, and UX designers to define scope and cadence of testing incremental design improvements ? Author research plans to articulate goals, plans, and research strategies and share that out with the project team ? Author facilitator guides and identify tasks to test for research sessions with users ? Analyze research results and author report articulating your findings ? Communicate study findings to project teams and various stakeholders ? Communicate research plans, guides, and reports with Lead Experience Researcher to ensure proper protocol and best practices are followed ? Work closely with UX designers to create personas and advise on design improvements Qualifications ? 4 years of relevant work experience ? End-to-end experience with the user research lifecycle (study design, recruiting, moderation, analysis, reporting, communicating insights)

This role is responsible for designing and conducting both user-focused product design research and usability tests for technology applications, web sites and other digital experiences across various platforms including desktop, mobile and tablet at Ameriprise. Research includes identifying user needs and goals, task and workflow modeling as well as regularly scanning the competitive landscape. Responsibilities Major areas of accountability: * User Requirements, Usability Testing, Product Research, Coordination & Communication, User Experience Advocacy. * Based on a clear understanding of business goals, assist in developing the UX research strategy and plan for each project, including validation of customer needs. Contribute to requirements and design documents by designing, conducting and managing user-focused product design research for new projects; conducting ongoing research of user needs - before, during and after product implementation and facilitating sessions to document requirements from users and stakeholders. * Monitor and document the results of usability tests, interviews and site visits. Organize and analyze survey data and perform other appropriate usability assessments as needed in order to gauge the usability of new and existing features/products. Validate prototypes with users and business stakeholders. Perform validation user testing to ensure features and products meet business and usability objectives. Regularly review usage statistics and perform analysis to identify improvement opportunities. * Manage multiple aspects of UX research: continually research and document competing products that exist in the marketplace; conduct ongoing research in to the development of new capabilities, enhancements and user-centered design trends; and investigate, evaluate and recommend new and emerging usability techniques, technologies and methodology process improvements. Help interpret and understand user feedback and provide input for design decisions based on that feedback. * Perform various project management duties including establishing time lines, coordinating tasks, scheduling and ensuring project documentation is complete. Maintain standards and styles documentation, Cascading Style Sheets and graphics library. Create personas, profiles and usage scenarios based on user research. Summarize testing results and communicate testing and research results to various audiences. * Educate project teams on core usability principles. Develop a current knowledge in usability-related research and developments and how they might apply to the usability process. Work with the UX and development teams to identify potential usability issues early in the process and collaborate to define solutions that help users effectively complete their tasks. Required Qualifications * Bachelors degree in Graphic Design or related field; or equivalent work experience. * 1-3 years of relevant experience. * Solid understanding of usability/design principles tools; understanding of the strengths/weaknesses of various usability research methods. * Effective written and verbal communication skills - including the ability to clearly articulate creative concepts and rationale. * 2+ years usability research experience; demonstrable hands-on experience collecting/analyzing usability data and transforming into actions. * Proficient prototyping and mock up skills to convey ideas and concepts - and experience working with software visualization tools. * Working knowledge of design fundamentals such as cascading style sheets, color theory, composition, perspective, branding and imagery.
