We are looking for a User Experience Research Intern to work with us to research and design the next generation of multi-modal in-car experiences. The researcher will create experiments, run focus groups, and conduct interviews for future in-car experiences, using voice, touch, eye tracking, and gesture. He or she will conduct mixed method studies on future technologies and conduct benchmarking on current technologies. The researcher will be involved in all steps of research, from planning and data collection to analysis and dissemination.
Design interesting research questions
Coordinate with recruiters and facilities to bring participants into the lab
Interact with participants and moderate user tests
Execute on several overlapping studies on short timelines
Coordinate with other researchers, developers, and designers to make your goals
Analyze results using both quantitative and qualitative methodologies
Create a story explaining the goals, methods, and results of each study

Strong idea creating and team collaborating skills
User research experience
Experience moderating and conducting experiments
Basic understanding of statistics (descriptive and inferential)
Strong interpersonal communication skills
Ability to develop and administer user surveys (online)
Proactive and willing to contribute to research and design discussions
Voice research experience
Driving research experience
UX Design experience
Multi-modal interface research or design experience
Experience with eye tracking or gesture tracking
Education:Current Ph.D or MA/MS Student in relevant field (User Experience, Usability, HCI, Human Factors, Experimental Psychology, Communications, etc.)
