Summary/Scope of Position:

We are looking for a talented project manager and scrum master to join a talented team of user experience professionals to create amazing user experiences with attention to quality and efficiency. The ideal candidate should have a passion and appreciation for understanding our end users and an ability to learn and understand the human-centered techniques to accomplish it. You will collaborate with user experience designers, user interface designers, user experience researchers, and other professionals in product management, product architecture and product development.

This position is within the Control and Visualization Business, which develops the software products that enable industrial automation.

Essential Functions:

  • Perform project management and scrum master tasks pertaining to the User Experience Design Team (UXDT).

  • Manage and track incoming UXDT requests, response times, completion rates, etc.

  • Handle UXDT logistics at customer events, e.g. reserving backrooms, equipping backrooms with required technology, space, snacks, scheduling sessions, managing customer email invitations, confirmations, etc.

  • Create and maintain a live/dynamic UXDT dashboard that gathers team and project data and transforms the data into useful measures and metrics for monitoring and improving the team's performance.

  • Drive process improvements pertaining to UX both internally (team) and externally (broad). Ex. 1 Consistent integration of UX in RA's SAFe implementation; Ex. 2 - Promotion and assistance in making UX quality an assumed and critical variable in the overall RA quality equation.

  • Influence a user-centered RA culture by helping team evangelize and teach UX both up and down the organization.

  • Handle bi-annual UXDT workshop logistics.

  • Handle annual UX RA Summit logistics.

  • Track UXDT training budget.

  • Create annual UXDT budget and track.

  • Handle UX tool license and subscription management.

  • Maintain UXDT Onboarding document.

  • Administer UXDT repositories, e.g. Private and Pubic UXDT SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, file share, User Experience Research Panel (UXRP) and user profiles. The UXRP is a database of users/customers who have signed up to help with usability research and testing, signed NDAs, etc.

  • Coordinate the translation of audio recordings of user interviews or user tests to transcripts --either doing it manually or finding a vendor or software to do it for us.

  • Display excellent collaboration skills with an ability to build consensus.

  • Learn, evaluate and recommend new tools and methods to support the work of the User Experience Design Team.
