The User Experience Designer is responsible for designing global e-commerce business to consumer and business to business interfaces, meeting our customer's goals and business objectives. The candidate must be comfortable translating complex business requirements into sitemaps, user flows, wireframes, mockups and prototypes. The UX designer is expected to design the overall functionality of the design, and in order to ensure a great customer experience, iterate upon it in accordance with usability studies.

Responsibilities:

  • Translate concepts into user flows, annotated wireframes, mockups and prototypes that lead to intuitive customer experiences.

  • Facilitate the business vision by researching, conceiving, sketching, prototyping designs utilized for conceptual demonstrations and usability-testing.

  • Design and deliver annotated wireframes, mockups for mobile, tablet, desktop devices and interfaces.

  • Identify design problems and devise elegant solutions.

  • Make strategic design and customer experience decisions related to new features and functions.

  • Take a customer-centered design approach and participate in rapidly testing and iterating designs.

  • Collaborate with the customer experience team, digital product managers, cross functional business partners and stakeholders.

  • Ability to advise global partners on customer experience design methodology and (accessibility) compliance.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years UX design experience designing complex solutions for complete digital environments.

  • Expertise in standard UX software such as Axure or other similar tool sets. Knowledge of Jira, Confluence and Adobe Suite software. Basic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript skills are a plus.

  • Strong e-commerce knowledge with extensive experience in using customer experience best practices to design solutions, and a deep understanding of mobile-first design.

  • A solid grasp of user-centered design (UCD), user research, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, usability and accessibility.

  • Proficient with gathering and utilizing analytical data to improve the customers shopping experience.

  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to business partners.

  • Ability to synthesize abstract ideas into concrete design interfaces.

  • Communicate closely with teams and stakeholders delivering design solutions for approval.

  • Passionate about all things UX and resolving customer pain points through superior design processes.

  • Research and showcase knowledge in the industry's trends and technologies.

  • Team player with exceptional interpersonal skills.

  • Equivalent professional experience, degree or certification in customer experience product design or related field desired.

As a creative, they offer input in print development where appropriate to grow skills in creation of pattern/designs. The Assistant CAD Designer collaborates with design to develop seasonal brand right prints for specific categories. They are responsible for inputting prints and yarn dyes using Kaledo/Illustrator/Photoshop to rework original artwork by changing layouts, color, size, rotation or placement of elements. Other responsibilities include facilitating the preparation and communication of print and yarn dye production to vendors, i.e. electronic transfer of information to fabric printers via e-mail or other electronic means. In addition, this person will also assist print managers in day to day responsibilities. This person must be familiar with technical characteristics of equipment (including printers, scanners) and perform daily maintenance as needed. Successful candidates should have the following knowledge, skills and abilities: * Four-year Design or related degree, or 1-2 years experience/internship in the CAD field * Basic knowledge of Kaledo is strongly preferred * Skills in creating original artwork, repeats, scales, textures knits & weaves and color theory * Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop * Knowledge of fabric construction and color as well as textile manufacturing and printing processes * Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills. * Ability to prioritize and manage projects from concept to completion * Excellent problem-solving skills Lands' End® is a classic American lifestyle brand with a passion for quality, legendary service, real value and a simple two-word promise to stand behind everything it sells: Guaranteed.
