Position Description

This position is responsible will develop and oversee the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phase of assigned UCare projects. Create tools, templates, and processes to be used by PMs and BAs to execute UAT.

Develop and execute the UAT Plan. Communicate testing progress and any issues to the Program Manager and Project Manager(s).

  • Collaborate with QA Manager and all stakeholders to produce an approved UAT Test Plan, driving alignment on the project's testing strategy.

  • Create core UAT documentation deliverables for PEP tollgates and CAB, including the UAT Test Specification (end-to-end business scenarios) and UAT Test Results.

  • Plan and manage UAT resources in partnership with resource owners.

  • Train and coach business users in their roles and responsibilities for UAT, including the definition of UAT, test planning, test execution, acceptance criteria, test tools, and defect management.

  • Partner w/ business and technical resources if/as necessary to identify test data and appropriate test environment(s).

  • Lead the UAT Defect Management process.

  • Advocate for the business and project team, being the "voice of the customer".

  • Champion UAT and the role UAT plays in project management at UCare.

  • Other projects and duties as assigned.


Bachelor's degree; demonstrated experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Required Experience

QA and/or UAT Lead experience. Strong leadership skills.

Self-directing work style. High initiative and innovation. Ability to interface with all levels of the organization.

Preferred Experience

Business Analysis background, including UAT. QA background with an emphasis in UAT.

Strong Healthcare acumen/background, preferably on the payer side of the business. Project Management experience.

VIEW JOBS 12/6/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-03-06T00:00 The Clinical Practice Performance Manager will be responsible for understanding how clinical tools support the clinical operations, conducting business analysis on the overall user experience, test application functionality, as part of the development /test cycle, in preparation for the go-live phase of clinical technologies. Work within UHC Clinical Business Enablement within UHC Clinical Services on large technology programs to improve and enable care for our members. This role is to support UAT but also act as a 'super user' and SME in the platform and consult on process and the platform. You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. Primary Responsibilities: * Overall responsibility and accountability for the success of the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) framework/phases * Focus on the clinical analysis of the data within UAT * Determining and documenting UAT Test Scenarios, Test Cases and Test Scripts * Define the test cases and scripts for HEDIS and quality measure enhancements * Identification, preparation, validation, and troubleshooting of test data * Establish/manage through defect triage and resolution processes * Training and coordination of test support (training materials, results reporting, executive scorecards, etc.) for business testers and leadership. * Become a subject matter expert (sme) on our Clinical tools both from a business and technology aspect * Mentor/develop other team members * Represent Clinical Solutions on business task forces/projects * Drive fact based decisions across matrixed teams * Lead/coordinate Production validation/business process testing across internal and external operations teams * Establish and maintain product delivery/product change traceability from business process to test documentation * Own and manage issues to closure, focusing on end-user experience and needs * Facilitate resolution of issues with cross functional teams to ensure issues are analyzed completely and solutions meet the business needs * Ensure the right teams are engaged, progress is being tracked, and follow up is ongoing. Ensure issues are closed when resolved. * Update issue documentation regularly and supporting communication needs Required Qualifications: * Registered Nurse (BSN preferred), Physicians Assistant or Nurse Practitioner * 5 years of varied Clinical experience * 3 years Project Management experience * 1 years of experience working with system implementations * 1 years working with EMR's (i.e, Athena, EPIC) * 3 years of experience working as a subject matter expert with HEDIS or Clinical Quality Measures * Strong MS Office computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Preferred Qualifications: * 1 years of experience with Healthcare informatics or data analytics * 5 years' experience working within the software development lifecycle * 3 years of experience working throughout the UAT Testing lifecycle from the research/analysis phase through the test closeout. * Experience in working on successful large-scale technology projects -- including multiple integrated business areas or systems 5 or more years of experience in tester training and support (i.e. creating/presenting training materials, access provisioning, results coordination, etc.) * 3 years Business Process analysis, consultation, or documentation * Knowledge and experience working with claims data * Experience with building applications from the ground up * Strong attention to detail and follow through * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Strong sense of urgency and ownership for resolving issues * Strong customer service mentality * Strong analytical and problem solving skills with ability to grasp new ideas and products * Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships * Ability to work well in cross-functional, matrixed teams * Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and tasks * Ability to evaluate, integrate and balance data to achieve objectives * Supports and values diversity in his/her organization Careers with UnitedHealthcare.
