Principle Auto is hiring an experienced automotive technician to join our rapidly growing dealership. The Used Car technician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing and correctly documenting any issues and concerns with vehicles. The Used Car technician is responsible for all tasks related to reconditioning trade-in vehicles- as well as more complex repairs including electrical diagnostic tests and repairs. The automotive technician must maintain a strong level of enthusiasm, positivity and productivity with other technicians and associates throughout the dealership.

Responsibilities of the Automotive Technician:

The Used Car technician must have previous automotive technical knowledge. The ideal candidate will have previous dealership and ADP/CDK experience. Verifiable ASE certifications are a plus! The Used Car technician on a day to day basis will assess, diagnose and resolve known issues with trade-in vehicles. The technician should also be analytical and proactive to troubleshoot any problems that may arise or be of concern in the future.

Qualifications:

• Local candidates only, please

• 2+ Years of Technician and/ or dealership experience (Volkswagen experience prefered)

• Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

• Ability to work with little to no supervision

• Strong work ethic and sense of urgency

• Capable of prioritizing tasks and meeting strict deadlines

• Ability to life and manipulate heavy objects

• Ability and willingness to work outdoors in inclement weather

• Ability and willingness to work a varied schedule which includes working Saturdays and some holidays
