Apogee is actively seeking a full-time Senior Electrical Engineer to be located at USCG Base Portsmouth, in Portsmouth, VA. This role will support the USCG Command, Control and Communications Engineering Center (C3CEN) CT-R in achieving its program mission of fulfilling requirements; applying the lifecycle acquisition processes, and assisting the CT-R Asset Line Managers. Given new cyber security requirements, several antiquated RF communications devices must be removed and replaced with systems that adhere to the new security posture. Multiple engineering changes, design efforts and installations aboard numerous class cutters and shore sites must be developed to accomplish the goal of eradicating vulnerable operating systems. Apogee's team will support existing CT-R staff by completing designs, installations and sustainment of the cyber compliant systems.

Duties shall include, but are not limited to assisting the Radio Frequency Communications Division with the following:
Conducting of EMI/RADHAZ studies
Conducting reviews of Engineering Changes to assess any potential EMI/RADHAZ impacts to proposed changes
Deploying as required to resolve reported EMI/RADHAZ issues in the field
Providing Subject Matter Expertise (SME) as required for reported Coast Guard EMI Problems
Liaison with DoD EMI/RADHAZ components (ie NAVSEA DAHLGREN) to conduct topside analysis on cutters as required
Develop detailed program/project management plans including Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and draft project schedules and manage resources utilizing Microsoft Project Version 2016
Develop and maintain project management oversight documents describing schedule, budget, adherence to approved plans and specifications, and efficient and effective implementation
Develop test plans that define the type of testing (e.g. functional, performance, usability) and the test level (e.g. unit, integration, field testing) to be performed for EMI/RADHAZ analysis
Contribute to technical working groups and interchange meetings, program management review and support equipment requirements review meetings
Minimum security clearance of Secret is required
US Citizenship is required
Over 10 years of engineering experience in EMI/RADHAZ analysis
BS in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited college
Experienced in the following provided Government Furnished Equipment for conducting EMI/RADHAZ analysis.

Rhode and Schwarz PR-100 Portable Receiver
Prior experience with federal government contracting is strongly preferred, with a preference to experience supporting USCG customer's onsite
