US Bancorp Community Development Corporation (USBCDC) is seeking a Risk/Compliance/Audit (RCA) professional with working knowledge of AML/KYC. The individual will partner with the AML/KYC Manager and other corporate partners to create, implement, maintain, review or oversee an effective risk management framework. Participates in projects and/or activities that ensure compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. Identifies gaps and inform solutions that minimize losses resulting from inadequate internal processes, systems or human errors. Identifies, responds and/or escalates risks as appropriate. Serves as a functional liaison between the USBCDC and corporate partners.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

  • Five to seven years of experience in an applicable risk management environment

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Advanced knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, financial services, and regulatory trends that impact their assigned line of business

  • Advanced understanding of the business line's operations, products/services, systems, and associated risks/controls

  • Advanced knowledge of Risk/Compliance/Audit competencies

  • Applicable professional certifications

  • Strong process facilitation, project management, and analytical skills

  • Must possess business acumen and credibility to help business line(s) proactively identify and address changing workforce needs

  • Excellent presentation, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages, including Microsoft Office applications and word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations

The Team Lead trains, leads and mentors the department associates and their work for completion of assigned duties. The AML CDD/EDD Team Lead will provide support to the AML CDD/EDD Manager for internal procedures, special projects and other team initiatives. Provides support to the AML CDD/EDD Team including, but not limited to, Suspicious Activity Reporting oversight, program governance, and metrics and reporting. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Develop and lead AML CDD/EDD analysts, including providing coaching and supporting team culture and dynamics, to meet high performance standards. * Provide support to the manager for internal procedures, special projects and other team initiatives. * Provides support to the AML CDD/EDD Team including, but not limited to, Suspicious Activity Reporting oversight, program governance, and metrics and reporting. * Establish relationships with other leaders and managers in other business units and support teams, throughout compliance and firm, to influence excellent information flow and feedback on the impacts of process, policy and product changes. * Exercise excellent independent judgment and discretion when making decisions or recommendations in relation to each alert/case decision and investigation. * Conduct quality and accuracy reviews on associates within the AML EDD/CDD team to ensure the associate's review is complying with specific AML- CDD/EDD policies and procedures. * Review and approve Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR) for the EDD/CDD team. * Identify potential gaps in AML CDD/EDD processes and spearheads small projects to implement solutions. * Assist in writing, maintaining, and auditing policies and procedures specific to AML CDD/EDD and provide training and guidance to analysts for new functions. * Work closely with team manager to ensure the workflow is prioritized based on staffing and capacity. * Assist in monitoring rule changes or regulatory developments relating to customer due diligence. QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor's degree in finance or related field required AND * 5+ years compliance, brokerage, or banking experience OR * 10+ years Stifel Compliance experience. * Series 7 and 63 or 66, 9, 10 or 24 within in 6 months of hire required. * CAMS preferred. * The ability to communicate information and ideas in spoken or written form so that others will understand. * Handles sensitive information in a confidential and professional manner. * Industry knowledge, theories and concepts of methodology, process development, change management and implementation. * Thorough understanding, knowledge, and experience in financial industry including operational and risk/control, financial markets, products, and an understanding of the transaction life cycle. Working knowledge of relevant regulations and standard industry processes. * Proficient knowledge of Compliance analysis and reporting. Ability to identify and affect appropriate risk and control mechanisms. Thorough knowledge in trade surveillance and Anti-Money Laundering. * Demonstrates professionalism, integrity, maturity, intellectual curiosity, initiative and good judgment; takes pride of ownership for wins and accountability for losses/mistakes. * High level of integrity and ethics.
