The Consumer Hardware team is looking for a security engineer to protect the infrastructure used to design silicon chips. This position is for a lone wolf that will work embedded within a team of linux sysadmins and silicon hardware engineers to strike the right balance of security and enabling hardware engineers to design state of the art silicon.

Secure infrastructure and drive its implementation to protect Google networks and systems.
Provide security expertise and guidance to a diverse set of Google engineering teams
Conduct security reviews of core silicon infrastructure.
Drive enterprise focused security improvements to core silicon infrastructure
Build security tools and processes using Python for critical infrastructure protection, monitoring and remediation.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of work experience in a role involving privacy related concepts and practices, such as privacy attacks, data anonymization and classification, protecting data at rest, auditing access to data, and review of requests for data access.
Coding experience in one or more general purpose languages.
Experience with Web application and browser security; Security assessments and penetration testing; Authentication and access control; Applied cryptography and security protocols; Security monitoring and intrusion detection, Incident response and forensics; Development of security tools, automation or frameworks.
