The Impact You'll Make in this Role

As a Sales Incentive Analyst for the USAC Sales Services Organization you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Designing, implementing, and administering sales incentive plans aligned to 3M Sales Professional business strategies.

  • Reviewing, analyzing, and editing data from distribution to corporate systems

  • Processing payments and providing supporting documentation and reports

  • Assisting in distribution of monthly sales data to corporate and divisional systems for customer analysis, sales analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.

  • Developing proactive approaches to identify compensation challenges within the sales and account management teams and develop solutions.

  • Assisting in daily decision-making support in response to ad-hoc requests from the business

  • Becoming a subject matter expert with sales incentive data and its data sources

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Three (3) years of experience using Microsoft Excel, Pivot Tables, and Formulas

  • Master's degree or higher from an accredited university

  • Excellent problem solving, reasoning, and analytical skills

  • Comfortable navigating complex data structures

  • SAP / Vistex experience

  • Strong Microsoft Office 365 product capabilities, especially Excel

  • Strong Analytical and Mathematical skills

  • Qlik View and Power BI capabilities

Location: Open to remote locations within US

Travel: May include up to 10% Domestic/International

Relocation Assistance: Not Authorized

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

This includes but is not limited to client rate calculators, binding authority measurement, semi-automatic rate indications, model scoring logic and measurement of performance versus benchmarks. Build new such tools efficiently and accurately, as well as maintain and upgrade existing tools in current state. Knowledge of technical systems and able to co-design and advance strategic upgrades to platforms, methods and systems that result in a more sustainable ecosystem for rate and model deployment to internal and external clients. WE EXPECT Education & Experience: * Bachelors degree in a STEM or related field * 5+ years of insurance experience in an actuarial or adjacent technical position involving rating or the programming of complex rating algorithms or automating actuarial forecasts * Technical skills: * MS Office Suite to include knowledge of VBA * Demonstrated proficiency in reporting from relational data structures using SQL * Demonstrated Proficency in reporting software such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlikview * Experience in use of Python, SAS, or R for insurance pricing applications Knowledge & Skills: * Some knowledge of actuarial work such as pricing, reserving, rate filing, financial reporting * Knowledge of primary and non-traditional reinsurance/alternative market * Excellent computer skills.
