The U.S. Tax Global Office (USTGO) sits in our National office. Its primary emphasis is to drive growth globally and in the U.S. and to proactively manage U.S. investments in global activities and global deployments for appropriate ROI.

Our key pillars include driving growth and helping serve our global clients, driving the execution of the Global Tax strategy in the U.S., and supporting the global network through peer-to-peer engagement. This includes leading bilateral relationships with priority Member Firms (MFs) and liaising between U.S. Tax Executives and DTTL Tax Executives on strategy, projects and initiatives related to the overall vision. We also collaborate with the U.S. Inbound Program, the Global Deployments team and other Country Tax Leaders.

Work you'll do

As a Program Manager in the USTGO, you will need to employ skills necessary to drive market growth and promote global teaming. You will be responsible for managing relationships to track and monitor workstream(s) progress, ensure timely reporting of milestone and dependency status, monitor risks and issues to escalate to leadership, and execute day-to-day project management activities. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Supporting strategic projects related to the global strategic vision

  • Influencing and leading international, cross-functional teams/projects

  • Coordinating with workstream teams on milestones to monitor and measure progress, deliver program milestones, and track against KPIs

  • Evaluating and advising on program risks/issue and manage escalation/resolution

  • Preparing program monitoring and reporting deliverables and participating in recurring updates with USTGO leadership, and providing insight into progress

  • Coordinating communications across relevant stakeholder groups

  • Attending workstream meetings, and establishing individual workstream leader meetings as needed

  • Engaging with and supporting the U.S. Inbound Program, the Global Deployments team and other Country Tax Leaders, as needed

  • Developing executive-level reporting, presentations and training/marketing materials

  • Engaging with USI team in preparation of reporting and analysis, as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline

  • PMP or other relevant certification, preferred

  • 3-4 years' experience leading multiple projects/project teams, ideally in a professional services environment, with a focus on strategy implementation and project management

  • Excellent problem-solving skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; strong listening, interpersonal, and facilitation skills

  • Able to interact effectively with professionals at all levels and communicate recommendations

  • Ability or potential to organize data into user-friendly, clear messages and materials

  • Strong relationship-building skills and the proven ability to team effectively and work virtually

  • Strong computer skills, including PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, and Excel proficiency

  • Quick learner with the ability to develop polished presentations, talking points, and content

  • Demonstrated experience working with and influencing as part of a team

  • Motivated, resourceful, and dependable

  • Well organized with the ability to multitask and prioritize multiple, ongoing projects

  • Previous tax experience a plus

  • Able to travel up to 20% of your time
