What it's about

We are looking for an individual at the Associate level to be part of our Liquid Loans investment in team in our New York office, where the individual is expected to:

  • Support senior credit analysts across various industry sectors with quantitative and qualitative analysis of liquid credit investments, increasing coverage responsibilities over time

  • Perform fundamental credit analysis and risk due diligence of identified investment opportunities in the primary and secondary US syndicated loan market

  • Prepare credit memo and present investment ideas with recommendations to the investment committee and portfolio managers

  • Proactively monitor existing investments "real time",providing timely updates on company performance and industry developments

  • Participate in daily/weekly meetings to discuss financial performance and events related to credits covered

  • Provide regular input on structural, secular and cyclical themes affecting credits and industries covered

  • Analyze credit agreements and other legal documentation related to issuers

  • Back-up other analysts and assist with ad-hoc assignments, as needed

What we expect

  • 2-4 years of relevant work experience in investment banking, investment research, or investment management within a top-tier institution, ideally within leveraged loans or high yield credit

  • Strong financial modelling (MS Excel), analytical, writing, and communication skills

  • Top academic credentials with emphasis on Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or Economics preferred

Figures as at 30 September 2019 Job Description The Global Finance Letter of Credit (L/C) Technician is responsible for partnering with all of the Global Finance business lines in the Americas (Global Energy & Commodities, Project Finance, Acquisition Sponsor Finance and Aviation), Operations Management and other support functions to ensure optimal support, customer service, risk management and process improvement. • Issuance of all types of L/Cs including confirming, advising including through the Swift Alliance system. • Amend existing L/C's upon request • Confirm and advise export L/C's • Complete the examination and negotiation of documents that have been presented • Execute wire payments • Process the fee collection and reconciliation of participation L/C's and investigate when necessary • Issue fronting L/C's on behalf of a bank group in syndicated transactions • Fulfill Doc Collections (URC522) as requested • Close monitoring of all applicable Natixis bank accounts, including house accounts and individual customer DDA accounts to ensure proper account balances at all times. • Daily Reconciliation of all USD and foreign currency activity. Items left open in Corona must be properly labeled with owner's name, detailed comments, label date and clearance date (if known). Past-Due Exception Reports to be monitored. • Maintain strong working relationship with Collateral Team on uncommitted transactions to ensure quick processing times and unified front to Client. • Review & respond to all Front Office and Customer email inquiries. • Dialogue with Front Office, Supervisor and any other Teams as necessary / elevation of problematic situations. • Review Daily work of outsource work provided by Broadridge when necessary.
