Mission Statement: US BU Sales Effectiveness leaders drive harmonization in sales process, deliver improvements in sales training, and provide a robust professional development curriculum to achieve consistent highly performing sales force.

About the Team: Sales Effectiveness align directly to the strategy set by the US Commercial & Talent Councils. Sales Effectiveness acts as a conduit to vet new process, identify best practices, and make recommendations for areas of improvement to the Commercial and Talent Councils. The Sales leadership council will determine the path & process to support the strategies and Sales Effectiveness council will focus in developing the content and lead in the execution of the strategy and processes.

About the Position:

Reporting to the Sr. Director, US Sales Effectiveness the US Sales Training Coordinator will orchestrate the effective delivery of best in class Orientation and Sales Training for all US field sales reps across every BD Business. This includes but is not limited to:

  • 11 Sales training across 5 US locations (roughly 3 per quarter)

  • 25 of New Hire Orientations every two weeks in Franklin Lakes, NJ

  • Support additional customized selling classes based on business need

  • 8 Quarterly face to face meetings for Sales Leadership Council & Sales Effectiveness Council

  • Facilitating execution of training with 3rd party partners

  • Supporting the planning and execution of L- Bard Sales process / SFDC integration activities

  • Planning on site meetings (approx. 3 annually)

  • Coordinating 4 migration training meetings with L-Bard local team

  • Maintain Sales Effectiveness Maxwell site

  • Ensuring that all US onboarding, key account management, and sales curriculum training material is BD Brand compliant

  • Supporting the Sr. Director of Sales Effectiveness to coordinate & execute activities as new programs are identified. (FY'19 Priorities: Key Account Management & Sales Manager Curriculum)

About the Candidate:

Required Competencies/Skills:

  • Detail oriented

  • Able to prioritize own work

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Power Point, Excel, SharePoint)

  • Excellent communication skills; both written & verbal

  • Preferred Skills:
    Graphic Design

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred. In lieu of degree will consider minimum 7 years' experience.

Required Experiences:

  • Accurate and timely management of expense reporting

  • Comfortable working within a matrixed organization

  • Preferred Experiences: Assisted in the development of sales training content, understanding of BD brand requirements, successful navigated reporting to a remote manager, familiarity with online learning management platforms (Plateau "C2C", Compliance Wire, etc.)

VIEW JOBS 4/12/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-07-11T00:00 Essential Duties and Responsibilities * DRIVE sales by delivering exceptional customer service per the Operations P&P Manual. * Successfully complete the DMIT Training Program to enhance core skill set (ie: recruiting, developing, coaching, leading and training). * Train store personnel on standard operating procedures as well as State and Federal laws and regulations. * Communicate consistently with store personnel to insure understanding and compliance with standard operating procedures. * Act as the liaison between the District Sales Manager and the stores under the DMIT's direction. * Take appropriate actions to insure each store maximizes sales, minimizes asset loss, and conforms to budgetary requirements. * Extensive travel(up to 90%) from store-to-store, within a given geographic area * Perform work of subordinates as needed. * Support and adhere to all company policies, procedures, and guidelines. * Communicate with employees at all levels of the company. * Ability and willingness to travel overnight for training and/or business meetings. * Ability to work varying days and hours, based on business needs. * Ability to maintain an excellent attendance record. * Other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities * Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with LIDS policies, procedures, and applicable laws. * Supervise Store Managers through planning, assigning, and directing their overall functions. * Appraise subordinates on positive performance and assist with formal performance evaluations. * Recruit, select, develop, and train store personnel on proper store operations and procedures. * Administer the progressive steps of discipline to include verbal and written warnings. In addition, the DMIT carries out employment terminations following approval from Human Resources and DSM. * Direct compliance of store personnel with established company policies, procedures and guidelines including, but not limited to, safekeeping of company inventory, funds and property. * Address complaints and problem solve when appropriate with the assistance of the DSM and or RD. Requirements EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE * Four year degree in business or a related field and one year relevant experience or; two year degree in a related field and at least two years of relevant experience or; three years of relevant experience. * Proven supervisory skills * Proven ability to perform independently with minimal supervision * Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate verbally in a clear, audible, and grammatically correct manner. * Ability to operate a computer, as well as maneuver relative software programs. * Posses a current valid driver's license, certificate of insurance coverage and the ability to drive an automobile. * Driving required for up to 100% of the daily work schedule. * Standing required for up to 90% of the daily work schedule. * Relative computer hardware and software experience. * Ability and willingness to travel overnight for training and/or business meetings.
