As the National and Global Operations & Product Line Manager, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence, product innovation, and market success across Norris Sucker Rods portfolio. Your dual role will involve overseeing operations within the United States while strategically managing product lines on a global scale.

Customer Delivery Management:

  • Oversee the timely delivery of the Norris product line, including Sucker Rods, Couplings, Polished Rods, Guides, and well servicing tools.

  • Collaborate closely with our manufacturing facility to ensure production schedules align with customer demands.

  • Support Sales, Inventory, Operations Planning (SIOP) Process.

Inventory Control:

  • Manage inventory levels across our operations, optimizing stock availability while minimizing excess.

  • Focus on reducing D level inventory and manage healthy inventory levels across all locations.

Capital Planning and Projects:

  • Lead strategic investment initiatives for our warehouses and guiding facilities.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost efficiencies.

Operational Excellence:

  • Coordinate all aspects of product delivery, shipping, and warehousing.

  • Work closely with the Safety Coordinator to communicate safety issues, follow up on incidents, and identify hazards.

  • Facilitate a strong CI Culture.

  • Ensure accurate order fulfillment and coordinate deliveries to customers.

  • Stay informed about changing market conditions and adjust inventory levels accordingly.

  • Manage OEE for all guiding facilities.

Stakeholder Communication:

  • Establish and maintain effective communication channels with customers, third-party contractors, vendors, and internal ChampionX teams.

  • Foster strong relationships to enhance collaboration and problem-solving.

Financial Management:

  • Review and process sales orders, invoices, addressing any discrepancies.

  • Assist with operations budgeting, collecting inputs from managers, and preparing monthly budget variance reports for leadership review.

Leadership Support:

  • If necessary, cover for the Branch Manager during scheduled vacations or PTO.

  • Set clear goals and objectives for your team and monitor progress toward achieving them.

  • Manage turn over and employee development.

Primary responsibilities/Essential Functions (Global Product Line Manager, Norris):

Market Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and execute global market strategies for the Norris Rods product line.

  • Conduct thorough market research, including direct interactions with new and prospective customers (Voice of Customer - VOC).

  • Align product offerings with market needs and trends.

Product Line Development:

  • Manage the product line development roadmap, including specific stage gates.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, finance, engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain) to ensure successful product launches.

  • Ensure timely readiness of products for market introduction.

Marketing and Collateral:

  • Work closely with the marketing team to create effective collateral materials and impactful product releases.

  • Provide input on pricing strategies and promotional campaigns.

Global Distribution Network:

  • Develop and optimize a global distribution network for Norris Rods.

  • Ensure efficient channels to reach customers worldwide.

Training and Customer Engagement:

  • Conduct training courses for internal employees and external customers.

  • Represent the product line in customer-facing interactions.

  • Responsible for all training materials and customer-facing collateral.

Technical Expertise and Sales Support:

  • Serve as the technical expert for the sales team.

  • Be the first point of contact for sales discussions, addressing product features and benefits.

  • Support the selling process by providing technical insights.

Facility Specific Additions to Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

  • Maintain and develop consistencies throughout all Norris branches, stocking locations.

  • Support the 5S project in the yards at each branch ensuring each area, product, and/or category of material is clearly marked and tagged.

  • Work closely with sales and manufacturing in a coordinated effort to ensure production scheduling is accurate and concurrent with the order book and field requirements.

  • Evaluate production scheduling to minimize overtime.

  • Monitor and maintain required Norris metrics in the branches such as inventory turns and cost reductions.

  • Support accurate daily inventory through CYCLE COUNTS; monitor success with each and every visit to branch locations.

Education, Licensing and Certifications:

Required

  • Four-year college or university degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or related field

Preferred

  • MBA or advanced degree in related field preferred

Experience:

Required

  • Six or more years of relevant experience in sales management

  • Experience in oil & gas industry preferred
