In this role you will assist in the development and ongoing maintenance of Bunge's US GAAP accounting policies, analyz and develop implementation plans for new accounting standards, develop structured US GAAP training programs and materials for Bunge, and support operating companies with regard to complex accounting issues on an as needed basis.
Develop accounting policies and practices applicable to Bunge including the redesign and ongoing maintenance of corporate accounting policies.
Assist in the development and implementation of a global US GAAP Training program for operating companies.
Analyze and communicate internally the impact of new proposed and adopted US GAAP accounting standards on Bunge.
Serve as an expert resource, including the preparation and/or review of technical accounting memos, to operating units for US GAAP advice on complex accounting issues.
Assist in the review of the Company's quarterly and annual SEC filings, with an emphasis on review of critical accounting policies and adequacy of footnote disclosures.
8+ years public accounting with national office or accounting advisory experience preferred OR 12+ years of public/private accounting mix with previous experience in an accouting policy role required
Bachelor's of Science in Accounting
Technical U.S. GAAP with experience researching and implementing accounting standards including derivative accounting, purchase accounting, and fair value measurements. Previous experience in the Agribusiness industry or similar industries a plus.
