Job Description:

Through partnership with the US Field Medical Leadership Team and the Home Office Medical Affairs Therapeutic Area Teams, this role is responsible for ensuring the execution of medical and stakeholder strategies and action plans to support the existing portfolio and pipeline products, at a Country (US) level aligned to the scientific and medical objectives of the company. Additionally, the position will lead the coordination and management of the field business planning process and output, analysis of insight and identification of key themes and trends that are shared across regions.


  • Define, implement, and drive processes to improve coordination and execution across US Medical Affairs to deliver on annual strategic and tactical plans for Field Medical Affairs.

  • Ensure the coordination, development, review, and execution of all functional plans across USMA functions and ensure deliverables are met within set timelines

  • Support the collaboration and communication with NAMA Extended Leadership Team, and other groups as needed.

  • Partners with Field Medical Leadership, Therapeutic Area Leads, and Medical Excellence Team in execution of team training meetings.

  • Partners with the NAMA Extended Leadership Team and GIS in the generation and interpretation of Mosaic (CRM) data (execution and insight).

  • Partners with Mosaic Medical Affairs Governance Team in updating the CRM interface.

  • Responsible for measuring and reporting on impact of Field Medical Affairs (FMA),

  • Lead the ongoing budgetary processes as part of annual business planning and review of departmental expenses within Field Medical Affairs, providing critical analysis and forecasting.

  • Provide leadership for business-critical initiatives and projects as identified by the Field Medical Lead and VP of Medical Affairs.

  • Serve as the Field Medical representative on various cross-functional Governance and Steering Committee's


  • Minimum of 6 years of medical/scientific affairs experience within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, preferably with some experience in rare disease therapeutic areas

  • Demonstrated experience and success leading large change initiatives in a healthcare delivery system outside of biopharma will also be considered

  • Previous MSL or MSL Leadership a plus

  • Advanced degree, with a strong foundation in the sciences

  • Broad and deep understanding of global and US Medical, Regulatory and Commercial environments

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-evolving environment, as well as a proven track record of working effectively in diverse teams involving multi-functional disciplines

  • Highly organized with a focus on execution, problem solving, and improving processes

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead without authority

  • Strong influence, communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong analytical skills to provide impact assessments of programs and ability to identify changes in practices that are data driven.

  • Demonstrated ability to provide structure to ambiguous situations and to proactively identify and define the need for specific analyses and programs, as well as driving foresight

  • Proven analytical skills and learning agility to coach and train colleagues across multiple functions


  • Willingness/Ability to travel up to 25% domestically. International travel may be required.

Array BioPharma was recently acquired by Pfizer and has access to Pfizer's class-leading resources. We are headquartered in Boulder, Colorado. Array recently received approval and launched BRAFTOVI (encorafenib) and MEKTOVI (binimetinib) for the treatment of patients with BRAF mutated melanoma. These products have also been granted Breakthrough Therapy Designation by the FDA for BRAF mutated CRC. Summary: Array is expanding our Field Medical Team in anticipation of a potential second indication for encorafenib and binimetinib in BRAF mutant colorectal cancer. The team will also provide continued support for the combination in BRAF mutant melanoma and to our development pipeline. This is a unique opportunity help build out the Field Medical Team at Array. The MSL team will be on the front lines of the company's growth and will be part of a dynamic period in the company's history. The field based Medical Science Liaison (MSL/Sr. MSL) role, reporting to the MSL Director, is an expert in the field and will focus on supporting launch activities, marketed products & pipeline agents as they enter clinical development. The MSL is responsible for developing partnerships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in medicine, providing clinical support for brand plans, supporting the development of Array Biopharma compounds, and disseminating clinical information about Array's products to healthcare professionals and organizations. Will include training and/or mentoring other MSLs, and leadership roles as it pertains to special internal projects. Responsibilities: * Establish and maintain scientifically credible peer-to-peer scientific relationships with national, regional, and local opinion leaders in addition to other healthcare providers * Facilitate strategic partnerships with scientific/clinical experts and serve as point of contact with organizations including but not limited to – * Guideline organizations (ASCO, NCCN) * Cooperative groups (SWOG, ECOG, Alliance, NRG Oncology) * Serve as a resource of clinical and scientific information for internal stakeholders * Provide impactful feedback/information to internal stakeholders on emerging clinical and scientific trends * Assist in the development and execution of clinically relevant regional medical meetings (eg, advisory boards, consultant, and investigator meetings) * Supports Clinical Development/Operation teams in identifying strategies/tactics for successful study execution * Serve as a liaison for the submission and review of Investigator Sponsored Trial proposals (ISTs) * Work cross-functionality to provide balanced and accurate information to top regional formulary decision makers and P&T committee members in conjunction with the market access team. * Assist in training and/or Mentor new MSL team members * Promote collaboration and cooperation within the team and cross-functionally * Demonstrate strategic planning and prioritization of work activities beyond defined geography * Ensure that all activities, interactions and communications are compliant with the policies and SOPs of Array Biopharma, and adheres to OIG, ACCME, and PhRMA guidelines/policies Requirements: * PharmD, PhD, MD preferred. Advanced degree Nurses, NPs, PAs, or those with a Master's degree in life sciences with commensurate pharmaceutical industry and clinical research experience will also be considered * 3+ years of as a Medical Science Liaison (or equivalent role) required * Oncology/Hematology therapeutic area experience required * Experience with melanoma and GI oncology preferred * Demonstrated ability in discussing scientific content and context to multiple audiences * Must have excellent interpersonal and communication (written as well as oral) skills * Ability to effectively collaborate in a dynamic cross functional environment * Drug launch support experience preferred * Experience working with managed care organizations and understanding of health economics preferred * Ability to travel (30-50%) Array Biopharma Boston MA
