The Field Marketing Leader manages Mercer's U.S. field marketing team with direct line management for all team members. The field marketing team is geography aligned and works closely with sales and business leadership in the local offices to develop strategies, align resources, and execute marketing initiatives that build market presence and drive revenue growth.

This position can be located anywhere in the United States.

The position requires an experienced, innovative B2B marketer with demonstrated skills in successful development of locally developed and executed marketing strategies, team leadership, and strategic advisory of senior business and sales leaders. The Field Marketing Leader will sit on the North America Marketing Leadership team to influence the development of campaigns at all stages, and will partner across all marketing groups to drive effective integration of field tactics into strategy, manage deployment, and then track results.

Strong capabilities in leadership, coaching, budget management, and project management required. Champion brand development and embodiment in live events and digital channels. Apply business acumen through financial and data analysis to ensure smart decision making and resource deployment. Strong business acumen, effective sales partnership, automated marketing systems experience, and a data-driven approach preferred.

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY: This position provides direct supervision of internal and/ or external work crews. The position oversees resources engaged in the operation, maintenance and construction of Eversource Energy gas distribution systems. This position is multi-faceted with responsibilities that include integrated planning and scheduling, execution of fieldwork activities, performance measurement, coaching, safety adherence, mentoring and various administration duties. Prepares and executes maintenance and construction activities along with coordination and schedules. Communicates with customers and community officials concerning all aspects of utility construction, operations, maintenance and service delivery. 2. Essential Functions: * Plans, organizes and manages the Gas Maintenance and Construction field workload through accurate coordination and scheduling, with others. * Supervises and oversees in-house crews and contractors engaged in the operation, maintenance and construction of Eversource gas distribution system. * Communicates with customers and community officials concerning all aspects of utility construction, operations, maintenance and service delivery. * Coordinates outages as the on-scene supervisor. Responds to and classifies reported gas leaks. May participate in the supervisory on-call rotation. * Ensures the safety of personnel by taking direct preventive measures, conducting effective weekly safety meetings and ensuring all related standards, rules and laws are understood and followed. * Ensures that work is performed in accordance with appropriate Company standards and work methods including monitoring for a high quality of workmanship and productivity. * Responsible for providing complete, accurate and timely work packages for work crews including required permits, dig safe authorization, drawings and other related instructions. * Monitors current and future workload to ensure district plans and schedules maximize productivity, control costs and meet or exceeds service level agreements. * Ensures compliance with regulatory and Company work rules and procedures. Understands and complies with the labor contract and works to resolve initial grievances. Initiates appropriate disciplinary action when required. Qualifications: Technical Knowledge/Skills: Requires knowledge of gas distribution system design, operations, maintenance, and construction principles and practices, safety standards and business processes. Also requires project and schedule management skills including computerized work and materials management and scheduling tools. Requires a working knowledge of the labor contracts. Requires communication, interpersonal, conflict resolution and teamwork skills. Ability to use PC desktop applications (e.g. Microsoft Word & Excel). Education/Experience: Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or related discipline plus three (3) years of experience in Gas Distribution, and/or Field Service design and/or installation, servicing customers, and supervising employees; OR Associate's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or related discipline plus five (5) years of experience in Gas Distribution, and/or Field Service design and/or installation, servicing customers, and supervising employees; OR Minimum of seven (7) years experience in Gas Distribution, and/or Field Service, or utility operations, or technical discipline with supervisory and/or customer service experience. Working Conditions: Work is conducted outside, in varied conditions and terrain including adverse weather conditions, and in a normal office environment. Work requires sitting, walking, standing, stair climbing, completion of paperwork, using a telephone and computer and attending meetings. Drives to various job site locations and customer premises to supervise work, and review or discuss construction job requirements. May work with computers for long periods of time during the day. Subject to shift work including weekends. Off-hour on-call responsibility may be required on a rotational basis. At times, requires working long hours in response to outage situations and shift coverage requirements. Problem Solving & Complexity: This role works in an environment that often requires the performance of multiple simultaneous activities, where deadlines need to be met and work is performed under pressure while involving significant business commitments and results. Requires being able to effectively relate to customers and the general public under stressful circumstances and for prolonged periods. Must be able to clearly articulate job and safety related information to employees and to effectively address performance issues in a constructive manner. Requires being able to respond to problem situations in a timely manner at all hours of the day or night. EMERGENCY RESPONSE: Responding to emergency situations to meet customers' needs is part of every employee's role. If employed, you will be given an Emergency Restoration assignment.
