Bumble is looking for a motivated, creative, proactive and entrepreneurial US Field Events Coordinator to help establish Bumble's brand as the leading relationships and social networking app in Austin.
This US Field Events Coordinator will oversee all of Bumble's college events, including but not limited to, bar tabs, curated brunches, influencer events, special events, localized brand partnerships, and one-off field events. Additionally, this person will be responsible for ensuring event stipends are sent out on time, coordinating merchandise orders, reconciling any unused funds, and making data-driven decisions.
Based in Austin and reporting to the Jr Manager of Field Events, this role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, loves event management, and has a great eye for details.
Oversee all of Bumble's university events across North America from conception to clean up
Liaise with suppliers, contractors, employees, Bumble ambassadors, and other parties to ensure event success
Organize facilities and details such as decor, catering, entertainment, transportation, location, invitee list, special guests, equipment, promotional material etc. as needed
Make data-driven decisions based off of market research
Develop and manage event budget and funds
2-3 years in event coordination, specifically wedding planning, corporate or special events
Extensive knowledge of the US University system and college-related events
Willing to hustle and ability to manage multiple projects at once
Excellent organization skills and high attention to detail
Ability to read and understand data and make necessary changes based on analyses
Skilled in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets including basic formulas such as vlookups, pivot tables, sumif, etc.
Design software such as Canva, Photoshop, etc. a plus
Experience in people and/or team management
Ability to manage and track a budget
