What is the Opportunity?
RBC's Office of the US CIO is responsible for the oversight of all technology supporting the firm's Combined US Operations (CUSO). The CUSO includes Capital Markets, Wealth Management, City National Bank, RBC Bank (US), Global Asset Management, and Functions within the US.
In this Business Management Analyst role, you'll assist in the tracking and reporting of the technology spend in support of the firm's Combined US Operations
What will you do?
Assist in the development of reporting incorporating all forecasted technology spend that is or will be allocated to the CUSO, including software development, infrastructure charges, support costs, vendor contracts, and software or service licensing
Prepare monthly financial reports for Technology Operating Committee meetings
Perform deep-dive analysis of technology spend areas within CUSO units to assess value for spend and alignment with strategic priorities
Work with CUSO CFO's office to ensure all relevant technology financial reporting is timely and accurate
Work in partnership with the respective lines of business across the CUSO to align on annual technology budgets
Assist in development of financial forecasting and actual spend reporting on all vendor-based technology delivery or support charged to the CUSO, inclusive of in-business or enterprise services as well as explicit technology organizations
Assist in day to day business management of US CIO Office (vendor payments, invoice tracking, Org Chart maintenance, etc.)
What do you need to succeed?
Must Have
3+ years of experience with analyzing and reporting financial data, and a strong understanding of corporate accounting practices
Proficient with advanced data modeling and Excel- including pivot tables.
Create and maintain highly presentable financial dashboards that can be shared with leadership
Critical Thinking Skills - Ability to objectively analyze and question results
Highly analytical with a proven passion in mathematical analysis

The good-faith expected salary range for the above position is $80,000- $135,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate's experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs. This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
