Job Summary The Urology Navigator will serve as a liaison to guide and assist patients who need advanced Urologic Care. The Navigator will help these patients and family members #navigate# the complex healthcare system by providing appropriate scheduling, pre-op education, verification of insurance benefits, pre-op and post-op instructions, and follow up care. The Navigator will work closely with the Urologist and clinical team to ensure timely responses to questions or concerns are given to the patient and patient#s family. He/she will serve as a resource and liaison throughout the healthcare system and external entities. The Uro Navigator will provide superior customer service to patients and families. The Navigator will obtain patient records from outside agencies and compile a comprehensive patient snapshot for the clinical team. Education and Experience Graduation certificate from an accredited Medical Assistant program or graduation from an accredited nursing program required. Experience preferred but not required Certificates Current certification#from one of the below: Certified Medical Assistant- AAMA Registered Medical Assistant- AMT Certified Clinical Medical Assistant- NHA National Certified Medical Assistant- NCCT Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant- NAHP Registered Medical Assistant- AAH Certified Medical Assistant Clinical- AMCA OR# Licenses Current license#from one of the below: Active LPN license, compact license preferred.
