The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Science of the Mount Sinai Heath System (MSHS) is seeking a Urogynecologist.

We are seeking Board Certified/Board Eligible Physicians in Obstetrics & Gynecology and Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery who can provide consistent, compassionate, high-quality, safe and patient-centric care, personalized to each and every patient. The successful candidate will possess clinical abilities as demonstrated through training, education, certification and experience, strong interpersonal communication, leadership and organizational skills, embrace the teaching mission of the MSHS and qualify for an academic appointment to the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. The candidate must have or be able to obtain a valid New York State Medical License.

As a member of the of the MSHS and the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, we are able to offer the professional benefits of a major academic/research medical center. With over 6,000 deliveries per year, the Department supports 32 residents in a four year residency program and an active teaching program for third-year medical students from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. All OB/Gyn sub-specialties are represented in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Science.

Responsibilities

  • The position is primarily in Queens, split between the City Hospital, Elmhurst ( 2 days per week), and Mount Sinai Queens ( 3 days per week)

  • Provide Urogynocology care, including ambulatory care and surgery in the hospitals

  • General administration duties that include documenting and reviewing patient chart

  • Elmhurst hospital is part of the NYC Health and Hospital Corporation and is staffed by Mt. Sinai. There you would care for the disenfranchised of NYC. Most patients do not have insurance and they come from all over the world to receive care.

  • Significant involvement in the training of Urogynecology fellows and research. The department has 8 residents per year, 32 total

  • Mount Sinai Queens is part of the Mt. Sinai Health System. You will be establishing a practice Queens, a significantly underserved area for urogynecology

Qualifications

  • Medical Degree from an accredited program

  • New York Medical License/Active NYS DEA

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology and Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery

  • Successfully completion of a Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery fellowship

  • Excellent communication, bedside manner, and organizational skills

  • A strong work ethic and desire to participate in a team-oriented, performance-driven environment

  • Respectfully collaborate and build relationships with a diverse set of teammates

  • Thrive in a constantly evolving environment, challenging the status quo and striving to innovate and improve care delivery

Compensation range from 281K to 361K (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits)

Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialties, historical productivity, historical collections, and hospital/community need.
