Vida Veterinary Care - Denver, located in Denver, Colorado, is looking for a full-time Urgent Care Veterinarian to join our ambitious team! We are looking for a surgically inclined clinician that is interested in diverse caseloads and a mix of general practice and urgent care practice.

About our clinic: Vida Veterinary Care is a full-service small animal general practice and urgent care hospital offering high-quality medicine, surgery, and service to the Denver community. Our team treats dogs, cats, and exotic species, such as small mammals, reptiles, and birds. Vida Veterinary Care is supported by a skilled, intelligent, and hardworking team! Our doctors are supported by individual Veterinarian Assistants, a 1:1 Registered Veterinary Technicians ratio, and expert technicians that run anesthesia during all surgical procedures. Our diagnostic equipment includes a comprehensive in-house laboratory, digital radiography, digital dental radiography, ultrasound, and endoscopy. Several of our veterinarians are trained to use endoscopy and laparoscopic surgery equipment, routinely performing lap spays, gastropexies, and liver biopsies. We would support any candidates interested in becoming proficient with endoscopy or laparoscopy. We would also support any candidates that have an interest in expanding their exotic skillset as we are a hospital who treats and hospitalizes exotics. We are paperless and use Impromed for our electronic medical records. We work closely with a board-certified cardiologist and an ultrasonographer to perform echocardiograms and ultrasounds as needed, and a board-certified surgeon comes in multiple times per month to perform orthopedic procedures.

At Vida Denver, our general practice is open Monday through Saturday from 7 am to 8 pm, with urgent care and emergency services offered all day. On Sundays, only urgent care is offered from 8 am to 8 pm. The expected weekly schedule would be three 12-hour shifts.

Ideal qualifications:

• Colorado Veterinary License - active and in good standing

• Team player who supports our positive, collaborative culture and works well with a wide range of personalities

• Experience or willingness to learn emergent case management of exotics

• Experience or willingness to mentor DVM externs and new graduates

• Desire to consistently deliver amazing veterinary care and exceptional customer experience
