Highlands Urgent Care is looking for a board-certified or board-eligible physician to join our team of dedicated and compassionate urgent care providers. You will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a variety of acute and chronic conditions, performing minor procedures, and collaborating with other health professionals. Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to walk-in patients of all ages
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide range of acute and chronic conditions, such as infections, injuries, allergies, asthma, diabetes, etc.
Perform minor procedures, such as suturing, splinting, wound care, incision and drainage, etc.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as labs, x-rays, EKGs, etc.
Prescribe medications and provide patient education and follow-up instructions
Document patient encounters and maintain accurate and timely medical records
Collaborate with other urgent care providers, nurses, medical assistants, and staff
Adhere to clinical protocols, policies, and procedures
Maintain current licensure, certification, and credentialing
Participate in continuing education and quality improvement activities Qualifications of Physician
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
Preferably a valid civil surgeon certification
Board certification or board eligibility in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Pediatrics
Current state medical license and DEA registration
Current BLS and ACLS certification
At least one year of experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, primary care, or a related field
Excellent clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
