Urgent Care Physician, Part Time

Highlands Urgent Care is looking for a board-certified or board-eligible physician to join our team of dedicated and compassionate urgent care providers. You will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a variety of acute and chronic conditions, performing minor procedures, and collaborating with other health professionals. • Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to walk-in patients of all ages

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide range of acute and chronic conditions, such as infections, injuries, allergies, asthma, diabetes, etc.

• Perform minor procedures, such as suturing, splinting, wound care, incision and drainage, etc.

• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as labs, x-rays, EKGs, etc.

• Prescribe medications and provide patient education and follow-up instructions

• Document patient encounters and maintain accurate and timely medical records

• Collaborate with other urgent care providers, nurses, medical assistants, and staff

• Adhere to clinical protocols, policies, and procedures

• Maintain current licensure, certification, and credentialing

• Participate in continuing education and quality improvement activities Qualifications of Physician

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school

• Preferably a valid civil surgeon certification

• Board certification or board eligibility in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Pediatrics

• Current state medical license and DEA registration

• Current BLS and ACLS certification

• At least one year of experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, primary care, or a related field

• Excellent clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
