Summary of Position:

St. Michael's Prep seeks a full time theology teacher beginning August 2024 for grades 9-12. We are searching for a dynamic, innovative educator to teach at many high school levels. Responsibilities include teaching 5 sections of courses, leading an advisory, participating in ongoing community service projects and leading and planning retreats with students and fellow teachers. This position is an exempt faculty position. The employee will work for 10 months of the year. The hired employee will report to their department chair.

  • Contribute to our Winter Term, a 3 week term during which diverse opportunities are offered for classes, academic travel and internships.

  • Have strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills and a commitment to both the developmental needs of adolescents and to education.

  • Have a commitment to diversity in all aspects of school life and reflect an appreciation of life long learning.

  • Maintain appropriate boundaries in professional relationships with students, families and colleagues.

Required Experience, Degree and Skills:

  • All applicants must be practicing Catholics in good standing, and must have a Master's degree in Theology from an accredited Catholic University.

  • Exceptional organization, time management and prioritization skills
