Job Summary
Menlo School seeks an Upper School Chemistry and Physics teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. This position is for four classes: one year-long section of grade 9 physics, and 3 leave coverage sections of grade 10 chemistry from October through March.
Prior to the leave coverage the teacher would be shadowing the Chemistry sections and in a support role in our Learning Center helping students; after the leave coverage the position will continue as a support role. The ideal candidate would possess at least three years of teaching experience, would have a graduate degree, and would have experience teaching high school Chemistry to 10th graders and introductory Physics to 9th graders. In addition to teaching four classes, full-time faculty members also oversee a ten-student advocacy group, and participate actively in other aspects of Menlo's student life program.
Candidates should be comfortable designing and executing curriculum as part of a teaching team and embrace the use of instructional technology.
