Description:Lockheed Martin is looking for personnel with interest or experience in unmanned underwater vehicles (UUVs), autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs), underwater communications systems, unmanned surface craft, marine mammal systems, or the wide array of support equipment that accompanies these systems. Lockheed Martin is looking for mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, logisticians, engineering technicians, boat drivers, equipment operators, and project managers to support research, development, test, and evaluation efforts conducted at SSC Pacific in San Diego, CA.

Work scope includes program and configuration management, logistics, technical services, systems engineering, algorithm development, hardware and software development, material analysis, data processing, testing, repair, installation, deployment, recovery, and analysis in support of Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) autonomous and non-autonomous systems and cybersecurity as it relates to these systems.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Proficient in MS Office products to include Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and execute work independently.

  • Ability to obtain a secret clearance

The Communications Business Unit of the Airborne division at Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as a Communications Systems Engineer based out of San Diego, CA. What You'll get to Do: At the Communications Business Unit of the Airborne C4ISR Systems division of Northrop Grumman Mission Systems, we deliver complex equipment to enable modern battlefields and support aviation missions. Our focus is on the world of avionics, radio and electronic warfare product applications to enable networked communications. As part of the corporation's business focus area on Communications, we are the "equipment providers." Our team of communication systems experts is developing next-generation ground radios for land forces, and our Electronic Warfare subject matter experts are creating the next generation of Improvised Explosive Device (IED) countermeasures to keep our soldiers safe when in harm's way. The Comms Systems Engineer (SE) will support a team by leading and performing: technical planning; system design and analysis; requirements development; and the allocation and communication of system requirements to hardware, software, and integration & test. This SE performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. This SE will be a lead contributor on our strong SE team, working to ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer and product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Additional possible tasking may include: Analyzes, models, designs and simulates communications systems, subsystems, and algorithms for communication networks, data links, digital radio, battle management, and command and control systems such as wide and local area networks, point-to-point systems, secure systems, signal coding and modulation schema, digital radio/communications technology and network architecture design.
