POSITION DETAILS
Disability Programs in the Office of Student Inclusion Initiatives within Student Affairs at the City University of New York (CUNY) is committed to ensuring equal access and opportunity for students with disabilities through innovative support programs, grounded in nationally regarded best practices in post-secondary disability services which support the academic success and personal development of students with disabilities and provides technical assistance to CUNY's 25 campuses in providing reasonable accommodations to students through a comprehensive approach with central support to maximize resources while controlling costs. The Office of Student Inclusion Initiatives supports the development of programs and opportunities that promote the wellness, success, belonging, and full participation in CUNY life of student communities that have historically been underrepresented at the University.
CUNY seeks an experienced higher education accessibility professional with expertise in accommodations, autism, inclusive adaptive sports, disability program development, fundraising, and staff management to promote an environment of inclusivity for students to have opportunities for meaningful engagement in campus life and campus membership for the University Student Accessibility Services and Programs Director position. Reporting to the Assistant Dean for Student Inclusion Initiatives, the University Student Accessibility Services and Programs Director will expand access and services to students with disabilities across CUNY's college campuses by managing all aspects of student disability programming development, implementation, delivery, assessment, evaluation, and compliance activities, plus marketing, recruitment, and outreach activities. They will be responsible for the daily system management of reasonable accommodations, support services, and signature programs that promote equal access, academic success, career readiness, and inclusion for CUNY's 10,000 students with disabilities, and provide administrative oversight and technical guidance to a network of 22 campus-based Student Disability Services Offices. CUNY's signature disability programs include CUNY LEADS, Project REACH, and CUNY Unlimited. The Director will lead program expansion for the REACH and Unlimited programs which focus on academic and employment opportunities, autism awareness, and support for neurodivergent students

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum:
Bachelor's degree and eight years' related experience required.
PREFERRED
The ideal candidate should demonstrate or possess:
CUNY TITLE OVERVIEW
Provides administrative oversight and direction of University-wide support services, programs, resources and accommodations for students with disabilities or accessibility or accommodation needs.
Develops and implements comprehensive programs and related policies serving students with disabilities to ensure their access, retention, and academic success in partnership with University and college campus staff and faculty members
Serves as an advocate and resource on student accessibility concerns issues and works collaboratively to identify, facilitate, and implement an array of student support services, clinicians and appropriate training activities for faculty and staff
Leads University-wide program assessment plan to evaluate program delivery of services, student learning outcomes, and student satisfaction
Manages department and program related fiscal planning, allocations, marketing, and grant funding; oversees agreements, partnerships, and relationships with vendors/contractors providing on-site specialized services
Interprets and ensures inclusiveness, awareness and compliance with University policies and procedures and applicable laws, rules, and regulations collaboration with internal and external parties
Manages, trains, and evaluates staff
May manage other student programs serving a specific student community as needed
Performs related duties as assigned.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The salary range is $124,656 or $132,987, commensurate with education, credentials, and experience.
