SUMMARY

JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES

Statistical Functions

  • Develop and implement statistical procedures and programs for data cleaning, manipulation, and analysis
  • Design and implement simulation programs to test statistical models and newly developed methods

  • Make figures and tables, assist with preparation and distribution of results

  • Prepare written summaries of statistical methods

Data Management Functions

  • Create and maintain study databases in Access and RedCap
  • Collect data and abstract clinical information from medical records

  • Maintain data entry for laboratory and medical history databases

  • Design queries to retrieve information from databases and generate reports

Study Coordination

  • Conducts overall study coordination working closely with other study staff.
  • Manage database for recruitment and progress reports.

  • Collects, processes, and stores biological specimens and research data according to established standard operating procedures (SOPs).

  • Maintains a tracking system for research related paperwork.

  • Assist with submitting, amending, and renewing institutional review board (IRB) protocols as needed.

Other Other duties as assigned.

Education Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Nursing or related field.

Experience Required

  • Three years of related experience. Additional years of education may be substituted for experience on a one to one basis.
