Central Connecticut State University invites applications to join the Facilities Management Department as a University Engineer. We seek applicants who are experienced in the practice of engineering, can analyze engineering problems and recommend solutions and provide technical support to the University.

Position Profile

The University Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support and management of the energy center and its ancillary equipment. This position will also perform a range of tasks including review and preparation of construction plans and specifications, site inspections and collaboration with contractors, state agencies and University stakeholders as needed for engineering consultation.

The successful candidate will assist with facilities operations and work collaboratively with the campus community, contractors and other state agencies.

Education:

All applicants must posesss a bachelor's degree in Engineering and/or related field

Experience and Training:

  • Five (5) years of professional experience in facilities renovation, alteration, design and specification preparation

  • Knowledge of theory and application of the operation of a power plant

Compensation and Employee Benefits

The University Engineer is compensated at the Administrator V salary level in accordance with the State University Organization of Administrative Faculty (SUOAF) Collective Bargaining Union Agreement.
