Job Description:

Orchard Valley at Wilbraham is seeking Temporary Universal Workers to join their team. The Universal Worker is an important role at the community and will help us navigate through this current environment. This role will be responsible in assisting both the Traditional and Harbor Care units in various needs.

  • Provides housekeeping and laundry services to assist our residents with keeping living areas clean and operational.

  • Cleans common areas. Assists in tasks related to dining and food preparation (setting tables, busing, meal delivery and cleaning tables, cooking, serving meals, and dish-washing, etc.).

  • Provides assistance with recreational programs and encourages residents to participate in community activities.

  • Assist with any Front Desk responsibilities that might be assigned.

  • Observes residents, provides or assists with documentation. Responds promptly and appropriately to residents.

  • Demonstrates safe and proper techniques for chemical use, and follows SDS guidelines for any exposure.

  • Adheres to OSHA and Benchmark Senior Living Guidelines.

Job Requirements


  • A high school education or higher education is not required to be hired into this job.

  • Understands the practices surrounding proper handling of biohazardous waste

  • Participates in training / in-services as required by Benchmark and state regulations

The technologies comprise patented acousto-fluidic systems for cell processing such as labeled and label-free cell selection, concentration, washing and differentiation. The current focus of the technical team is the development of an acoustic affinity cell selection system. Acoustic radiation forces in conjunction with low Reynolds number flows are used to manipulate particles and cells in order to perform a specific cell processing step. We are looking for an experienced acoustician with a proven track record of acoustics modeling and translation into practice. You will: * Be an independent thinker, innovator and contributor to the development of the acousto-fluidic platform technologies and processes * Design, model and analyze acousto-fluidic cell processing platforms * Experimentally validate new acousto-fluidic devices and systems * Participate in process development, design of experiments, data analysis, post processing and presentation of data * Write reports, contribute to Intellectual Property, and publish papers as needed * Report to colleagues and management in timely manner Who you are: * PhD in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Biomedical, Biochemical or Bioprocess Engineering, or Physics, or similar degree, or MS degree with equivalent experience * Strong knowledge in one of the following fields: physical acoustics, ultrasound, standing waves, piezo-electric transducers, biomedical ultrasound, acoustic radiation forces * Experienced at rapid technology development * Strong knowledge of FEA and CFD software preferred, e.g., COMSOL, Ansys or similar * Additional knowledge in one of the following areas is desirable: CAD, data analysis, statistics * Self-motivated with strong curiosity and driven to take on broader responsibilities around technology development Job Requisition ID: 204960 Location: Wilbraham Career Level: B - Recent University Graduate( Working time model: full-time US Disclosure The Company is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
