Universal Worker Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Performs recreational activities in conjunction with activities department.

  • Provides daily assistance with personal care to include dressing, undressing, bathing, personal hygiene, removal of soiled linen.

  • Obtains vital signs and records as directed.

  • Prepares residents for meals, assists in meal delivery, and clean up.

  • Assists residents with activities including reminders, participation delivery and documentation.

  • Performs housekeeping tasks daily; cleaning of assigned rooms, bathrooms, common area to include vacuuming, dusting, mopping floors, emptying trash, making beds, changing linens, as assigned.

  • Promptly answers signal lights, bells, or intercom system to determine residents' needs.

  • Conducts room checks, rounds, and monitors and reports environmental safety hazards.

  • Completes documentation in an accurate and timely fashion.

  • Adheres to infection control policies and procedures as established by the facility.

  • Assists with resident's laundry.

  • Runs errands, directs visitors, and answers telephone.

  • *Maintains the confidentiality of all resident, staff and organization information.

Universal Worker Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
