Job Description

Have a desire to work in the healthcare field? As a 68W Health Care Specialist, you will address the health care needs of civilians after natural disasters or civil emergencies. You will also be the first line of defense against injuries and illnesses suffered by our Soldiers through the administration of immediate emergency care and ongoing care and support. After extensive Army medical training, you will be prepared to provide fellow Soldiers with first-rate health care in any setting, from field hospitals to state-of-the-art facilities. Receive paid training.

To enlist in the Army Reserve you must be: Between the ages of 1735 (must ship to basic training prior to 35th birthday) A U.S. citizen or registered alien U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident Aliens (people who have an INS I-151/I-551 Green Card) may join the U.S. Military. Possess a High School Diploma or GED.

As a Veterinary Diagnostic Consultant, you'll build relationships with veterinary customers and will be responsible for selling IDEXX's medical device diagnostics portfolio of products to our Veterinary customers. In assuming this role, you'll engage customers through knowledgeable interactions, business discussions and educational interactions. You'll leverage your sales and closing skills to strengthen relationships and build customer loyalty by enabling customers to effectively leverage IDEXX's products and services. In helping veterinary practices grow their diagnostic revenue, you'll establish yourself as a valued partner. The primary duties and responsibilities of this position include: * Increasing the recurring diagnostic revenue year over year in your territory as well as attain quarterly medical device equipment sales goals. * Through consultative selling, translating customer needs into diagnostic solutions * Selling diagnostic equipment, tests and services to our customers * Increasing the utilization of in-house diagnostic tests and assays, instrument consumables and reference laboratory profiles and advanced tests among your customer base, which will, in turn increase the recurring revenue * Collaborate and "co-sell" with other IDEXX sales professionals in the region to close the capital equipment and technology * Educating and training veterinary clinic staff about products, services and marketing initiatives, including how to engage customer service when appropriate * Developing and growing partnerships with veterinary practice staff * Presenting IDEXX's values to our customers in a professional manner, including an understanding of our industry, veterinary practice, customers, technology, operations and processes * Managing your territory for optimal account coverage and completing all sales administration, including all Salesforce update requirements * Attending trade shows and other educational events in the region, as applicable * Gaining and maintaining comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of IDEXX's products and services * Communicating customer needs as well as competitive issues to both IDEXX's marketing organization and your business unit manager * Partnering with and assisting laboratory operations to ensure that customer questions and service issues are satisfactorily addressed and resolved * Managing IDEXX expenses and resources in line with company guidelines and directives * Performing other duties as assigned Education: * Bachelors degree or equivalent experience Must have experience: * Must have 5-8 or more years of successful Territory Management experience. * Must have either Veterinary sales experience, Human Healthcare medical device sales experience, dental device sales experience, or experience selling multiple products and services using solution/consultative selling within another industry * Must work great with others in a highly team oriented, collaborative sales environment Preferred Experience: * Manufacturer sales experience preferred * Capital Equipment medical sales experience is also preferred * Strongly prefer experienced with selling a "mixed bag" of products and services, as our offering is robust to Veterinary clinics Physical demands of this job include: * Limited overnight travel, if any * Limited/occasional weekend work such as a trade show or an occasional meeting * Extensive car travel – company car provided * Ability to lift up to 60 pounds This job's work environment includes: * Exposure to veterinary clinics IDEXX is an EOE/Minority/Female/Disabled Veteran employer Idexx Laboratories, Inc.
