Performs various tasks to provide a well-supplied, safe and clean patient unit. Provides nursing personnel with efficient and appropriate assistance with selected unit needs, as well as performing various clerical duties. Possesses direct access to drug products and secure medication locations in order to manage the storage, handling and disposal of medications consistent with the Medication Storage and Handling Policy.

Performs various tasks to ensure the unit is well supplied, including ordering and obtaining supplies, re-stocking supplies and linen to the unit, and locating lost equipment.
Maintains a clean and safe environment by caring for, and cleaning unit equipment, maintaining cleanliness of work areas, and keeping hallways clear of excess equipment.
Performs all aspects of equipment operation, test performance, and equipment maintenance. Maintains certifications. Keeps appropriate records for documentation, repairs, follow-up, etc.
Performs other duties as required or assigned.
High school graduate.
Experience working in a hospital preferred.
BCLS certification required within 90 days of employment.
