Position Description:

Innove is hiring a Unit Software License Manager with procurement expertise to join our cyber team supporting the Government Customer's Computer Network Defense (CND) Program. The dedicated professionals supporting this effort develop offensive and defensive capabilities in the defense of the Nation. We provide mission-focused end-to-end systems engineering and support expertise to enhance operationally capabilities and guide the acquisition of complex systems under development, and architect systems and technologies of the future. We provide solutions that respond efficiently and effectively to customer requirements by enhancing and automating as many tasks as possible. This approach yields outstanding program execution, which translates directly into mission success.

Position Responsibilities:

The Unit Software Manager will

  • Provide procurement support to the customer, including provision of inventory numbers, providing awareness of upcoming hardware and software renewals, license renewals, etc.

  • Support all customer procurement efforts through close collaboration with team engineers and customer representatives

  • Troubleshooting customer procurement issues

  • Troubleshooting customer software issues

  • Must have expertise with the MS Office suite, especially Excel--including the ability to build and use formulas and macros as well as the ability to conduct analysis and sorting activities

  • Hands-on experience with procurement processes, including--but not limited to--the following: Inventory requests; inventory number requests; renewals of hardware, software, and licenses; confirmation of available customer funding

  • Experience with procurement execution

  • Hands-on experience developing and maintaining inventory databases

  • Must be highly organized and detail-oriented

  • Proactively verify and validate software license requests and process them as per the program's Configuration Management process.

  • Procure Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) software products for the program through working with various procurement/contracting vehicles, and preparing procurement documentation.

  • Continuously organize and track software procurements and distributions via spreadsheets/ database for license compliance and reporting purposes.

Required Skills

The candidate should have

  • Previous financial management experience--focused on budget execution--in support of a Government customer is preferred

  • Experience directly supporting at least one Government customer is preferred

  • Bachelor's degree with five (5) years overall experience is strongly preferred; two (2) years of experience supporting a Government customer with procurement experience will be considered in lieu of degree

  • A desire to expand and learn system administration
