Pay Range: $ 19.32/hr - $ 21.88/hr - $ 24.74/hr *Please note, the highest starting rate as a new hire is $21.88/hr, based on applicable experience POSITION SUMMARY: The Unit Secretary / Certified Nursing Assistant assists the nursing and medical staff by acting as receptionist, unit liaison, and secretary for the nursing unit.# The US / CNA may provide patient care.# The US / CNA may perform selected nursing procedures as defined in the Patient Care Standards Manual Nursing Procedure Manual.# The US / CNA will perform at least 50 % Unit Secretary duties.# Under supervision of a Registered Nurse, the US / CNA# provides a support function to the nurse by coordinating special tasks and assisting where needed.# The Unit Secretary / Certified Nursing Assistant collaborates with other members of the patient care team to provide care in accordance with the medical plan of care.# These services further the mission of Enloe Medical Center, which is to improve the quality of your life through patient-centered care.# EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:
Minimum: *#One year experience utilizing clerical, computer and receptionist skills Desired: *#One year experience in nursing unit or hospital environment LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS: Minimum: *#Current CNA#Certification with the CA Department of Health Services Licensing # Certification Board *#Current CPR Certification # SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES: Must demonstrate technical competence.# Must be able to interact professionally and effectively communicate with physicians, staff, patients, and public.# Must show sensitivity for the hospitalized patient and family.# Must be able to follow instructions, work quickly and accurately in a fast paced environment. Analytical and grammatical skills are necessary to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.#Capable of using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook (Microsoft Office Suite) computer skills for a variety of support functions.# Organizational and multi-tasking skills are essential.# Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
