Sutter Lakeside Hospital is located in beautiful Lake County and overlooks Clear Lake, the largest natural lake in California. The hospital has a Critical Access Hospital designation, with 25 inpatient beds.
There are 10 outpatient beds, a 12-bed ED, ancillary services (MRI, CT, Nuclear Med, Mammography imaging, lab, pathology, 24/7pharmacy coverage), surgical services (orthopedics, OB/GYN, general surgery, podiatry, ophthalmology, endoscopy), Family Birth Center, Intensive Care Unit, Medical-Surgical Unit, and an Outpatient Care Services Unit performing infusions, wound care and supporting outpatient procedures. The hospital also supports inpatient and outpatient physical, speech, occupational and rehab therapies. Sutter Lakeside's campus includes two hospital-based rural health clinics, a beautiful community garden and the only Rehab Mobility Park in this part of the state. Lake County has a population of about 66,000 and is located in a fast-growing wine region only 2 hours northwest of Sacramento and 2 hours north of San Francisco.
Under supervision of Unit Director, Nursing Supervisor or shift Charge Nurse, performs clerical duties as assigned, inter-departmental communications, ordering/stocking supplies, cleaning/processing of equipment as directed, and direct patient care within the scope of certification and level of training. Interacts with various hospital personnel, patients, and families utilizing customer service philosophies while maintaining confidentiality.
1.Provides direct patient care within scope of practice.
2.Performs complete and accurate written and electronic documentation in a timely manner and authenticates documentation.
3.Communicates clearly, succinctly and professionally.
4.Procures and maintains supplies and equipment.
5.Performs clerical and reception duties as assigned including admission, discharge and transfer activities.
High school graduate or equivalent. CNA certificate.
Six months acute care experience. Basic knowledge of ADLs (Activities of Daily Living) for adult and geriatric patients. Excellent communication and guest relation skills.
Must maintain valid CPR certification. The ability to be flexible and handle a variety of situations while remaining calm and professional. Ability to utilize basic office equipment, i.e. fax machine, computer, copier, etc.
