Providence is calling a Per Diem, Evening shift Unit Secretary - Crisis Stabilization Unit to Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center San Pedro in San Pedro, CA.
In this position you will:
Attend nursing station and performs clerical and reception duties.
Performs and provides personal secretarial and administrative support services such as preparing correspondence in final form, receiving visitors, scheduling meetings and maintaining files for Behavioral Health.
Preparing documents for court and making sure they are signed on time by the appropriate Judge on call.
Responsible for Court Log being updated.
Required qualifications for this position include:
MAOB I/II required within 30 to 150 days of hire
Completion of medical terminology course or equivalent experience
Knowledge of Skills/Office Electronics
Knowledge Microsoft Office & Word Processor
Knowledge of Outlook
Average to good keyboard skills
Ability to answer telephones, filing systems, schedule appointments
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Demonstrate computer skills to utilize electronic medical record in a time efficient manner
Ability to evaluate and appropriately respond to verbal and nonverbal communication from patients in diverse stages of development, ie. child, adolescent, adult and geriatric.
