Position Summary: Provides indirect patient care in the hospital setting. Prepares and compiles records in the facility. Follows directions from physician and nursing staff.

Minimum Qualifications:

EDUCATION

• High school graduate or GED.

• Course in Medical Terminology preferred.

• Certification as Health Unit Secretary preferred.

EXPERIENCE

• Previous experience as a unit clerk/ward clerk in healthcare setting - preferred

• Ability to type accurately

• Verbal/written skills necessary to interact positively with patients, physicians, and staff.
