Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our healthcare team in the capacity of Unit Secretary. You will perform clerical and receptionist duties and deliver exceptional customer service to our patients, their families and the staff of your unit. You will work with a phenomenal team that cares like family and works together in a collaborative manner

In this role you will:

• Participate in the unit based Quality Improvement process.

• Demonstrate knowledge and respect of patient rights to privacy and protection of patient confidentiality.

• Organize and communicate patient care activities to the patient and to the Registered Nurse.

• Complete, execute and perform secretarial tasks such as, Order Entry, filing and organizing patient charts and medication orders.

• Demonstrate an understanding of patient charts, physician orders and nursing orders.

• Demonstrate an understanding and be proficient in the use of a computer and office equipment.

• Maintain the unit in optimal operating condition by cleaning general work stations and stocking of supplies.

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required

• BLS - AHA Healthcare Provider required

• Unit Secretary skills preferred

• Medical terminology preferred
