Unit Secretary

Position Summary: Attends nursing station and performs clerical and reception duties. Requisitions supplies, equipment and services as directed.

High school or equivalent Minimum Experience:

On the job training or sufficient previous experience Preferred Education: Post high school vocational/specialized training Preferred Course(s)/Training:

Completion of course for unit secretaries Medical Terminology Physical Demands:

Mostly sedentary work Occasional prolonged standing/walking Working Conditions: Regularly exposed to the risk of Bloodborne diseases Contact with patients under a wide variety of circumstances Exposed to unpleasant elements (accidents, injuries and illness) Subjected to irregular hours Pressure due to multiple calls and inquiries
