Sodexo is seeking a Manager, Health & Safety Programs located in NY/NJ Metro Area. These positions will require travel from site to site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Successful client and third-party audits of Sodexo HSE activities

  • Timely reporting and investigation of HSE related incidents and audit findings

  • Added value to the business through implementing efficient, standardized systems and processes

  • Maintain an effective relationship with the client and corporate EHS groups as required

  • Maintain communication with key Sodexo and client personnel, monitoring HSE and providing support, advice and expertise to operational teams at the site level

  • Provide expertise in Health, Safety and Business Risk and advice and consultancy for Sodexo employees at client sites

  • Perform audits of HSE compliance for all IFM services which Sodexo provide to the client

  • Work with client and Sodexo teams to investigate, analyze root-causes and implement corrective actions where HSE deficiencies are discovered

  • Present HSE related topics to Sodexo and client management and produce reports as required

  • Conduct training in HSE topics to the wider Sodexo operations team and third parties where necessary

  • Formulate, implement, monitor and review HSE plans (including the setting of objectives, agreeing priorities and establishing adequate systems for performance management) to ensure implementation of legislative requirements and best practice

  • Promote and develop a health and safety culture which secures effective implementation of policy, procedures and responsibilities

Is this opportunity right for you? We are looking for candidates who have:

  • a proven track record of successful Facilities Management leadership experience as demonstrated by articulated results and accomplishments;

  • strong technical knowledge of the following: mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, structural, safety systems, architectural, landscape and energy management;

  • exceptional customer service, relationship building and communication skills;

  • strong Leadership skills with a focus on staff development and team building;

  • A minimum of Technical/Vocational High School diploma equivalent;

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline preferred;

  • Experience with Microsoft Office required;

  • Experience with CMMS (computerized maintenance management system) preferred.

Position Summary

Key member of local leadership team managing all Quality Assurance, Food, Physical and or Environmental Safety Programs for a specific portfolio of business at multiple locations associated with a global account portfolio. Provides HS&E expertise on new account due diligence; transition and stabilization phases. Initiate plans and manages resources to ensure efficient and cost-effective strategies for occupational health, safety and environmental performance, in addition to partnering with leadership to instil an operational excellence culture.

Under the direction of the process leads, develops quality and compliance metrics for assigned processes. On a continuous basis, actively works to promote operational excellence by monitoring quality and compliance for processes related to signal management and risk management. * Perform assigned CSRM operational tasks in departmental/cross functional Standard Operating Procedures * Assist with generation and interpretation of data to support compliance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) for signal and risk management processes (e.g. safety surveillance, ARMM, RMP, safety topic tracking) * Provide operational support for signaling in EudraVigilance (e.g. data retrieval and storage, communication with applicable staff) * Monitor Microsoft Outlook group mailbox utilized for communications related to signal/risk management processes and distribute communications to applicable staff * Maintain rosters, lists and schedules as needed for signal/risk management processes (e.g. risk management safety team rosters, schedules for signaling, list of products with ARMMs) * Assist with data collection and analysis to support the annual product tiering review process * Provide operational support related to RMPs and ARMM, including maintaining ARMM resource sharepoint site and support in tracking local country deviations * Collaborate with CSRM Process Network to develop and maintain FAQs for selected processes (e.g. RMP, safety surveillance in Eudravigilance) * Assist in preparing and responding to requests from health authority inspections as well as internal and external audits * Support other project(s) or perform any other tasks related to signal/risk management as deemed appropriate by management Education: * Bachelor's degree or master's degree(s), preferably in a scientifically or medically related discipline or other relevant area such as business or project management Required: * 3 years of work experience in the pharmaceutical industry, in health care, public health or a related field * Ability to work effectively in matrix organizational structures * Ability to be flexible in order to meet daily competing priorities of the business * Be a self-starter, fast learner and able to multi-task, manage projects, work with databases, and work in fast-paced team environment * Detail oriented, well organized, and excellent planning skills * Demonstrates excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills * Analytical thinker with ability to trend and interpret data Preferred: * Clinical/medical, regulatory or public health background/knowledge * Strong knowledge base of pharmacovigilance principles, including signal management and risk management * Technically proficient in Argus Safety, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) We are a research-driven biopharmaceutical company.
