Sodexo has an exciting opportunity for high performing Safety Manager with our Procter & Gamble partner located in Martinsburg, WV.

Job Summary:

This role will serve to support all aspects of safety and compliance at the Procter & Gamble production facility in WV for Sodexo.


The ideal candidate for this position will also have strong client/employee relationship-building skills and possess the ability to handle multiple priorities, quickly grasp situations and logically progress through solutions, the ability to refine systems ensuring sustained effort of achieving standards, follow through and visibility within the facility. Additional criteria include:

  • 2-5 years in a Manufacturing or Industrial Safety role;

  • Experience Conducting safety inspections and Safety training programs.

  • Experience tracking and analyzing data to identify potential safety risks;

  • Ability to lead, drive and promote a strong safety culture;

  • Strong knowledge and experience conducting hazard identification assessments and analysis;

Position Summary

Key member of local leadership team managing all Quality Assurance, Food, Physical and or Environmental Safety Programs for a specific portfolio of business at multiple locations associated with a global account portfolio. Provides HS&E expertise on new account due diligence; transition and stabilization phases. Initiate plans and manages resources to ensure efficient and cost-effective strategies for occupational health, safety and environmental performance, in addition to partnering with leadership to instil an operational excellence culture.

VIEW JOBS 3/15/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-06-13T00:00 Company/Position Overview OVERALL JOB DESCRIPTION Seeking an intermediate to advanced MSSQL and MySQL Database Administrator for second shift (3:30 PM – midnight), full time work at the VA's Network Security Operations Center (NSOC) in Martinsburg, WV, working for Service Design and Implementation and Portal Services. * MSSQL: * Install, configure, harden, patch, upgrade, migrate, maintain, and administer production and development MSSQL 2012, 2014 and 2016 SQL instances. * Responsible for performance monitoring and tuning, troubleshooting, capacity planning, database backup and recovery, and query optimization/tuning. * Configure and maintain SQL Agent jobs, SSIS packages, SQL Audits, DDL Triggers, Linked Servers, and Policies. * Strong T-SQL coding skills, especially when querying system tables and dynamic management views. * Strong database backup and recovery skills. * Prepare Power Shell scripts to automate administration tasks. * Harden SQL instances per DOD Hardening/DISA STIGS. * MySQL: * Install, configure, patch, and upgrade MySQL version 5.7 and newer. * Intermediate-level experience with Linux Red Hat and MySQL administration. * The ability to configure and support MySQL replication. * Overall skills and responsibilities * Good writing, communication, organizational, and troubleshooting skills. * Ability to work independently. * High degree of attention to detail and accuracy. * Commitment to quality. * Desire to work second shift (3:30PM – midnight) M-F. * Willingness to provide 24x7 on-call support one week a month. Mandatory Qualifications (Education, Certifications, Experience, Skills) * Education / Experience: Bachelor's degree in computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering or technical discipline is required with 5 years of experience. 8 additional years of relevant experience may be substituted for education. * PWS Specified Certifications: This position requires privileged system access. The applicant shall have six months to obtain ONE of the following industry standard certification. * Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) * Microsoft SQL Server Solutions Expert, Data Platform (MCSE) * Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) Database Administrator SQL 2008 (or greater) * Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS). * Miscellaneous: Duties may require traveling, Sits up to 6 hours per day using close vision, repetitive wrist, hand or finger movement (to operate computer equipment), lift up to 25 pounds * Background Investigation: Must be able to pass a government Tier 2 Moderate Background Investigation Desired Qualifications (Education, Certifications, Experience, Skills) Desired Qualifications: * Education / Experience: * 7+ years of database administration experience with SQL 2008, 2008R2, 2012 and 2014 * 3+ years of experience with MySQL. * Experience with MSSQL Transparent Data Encryption and Secure Socket Layer Encryption. * Experience creating reports using Reporting Services. * Microsoft SQL Server Database Administration Certification. * Experience with the implementation and maintenance of very large databases. * Experience with failover clustering instances and AlwaysOn Availability Groups. * Certifications: * Microsoft SQL Server Database Administration Certification.
