Sierra Health Care Center,an integral part of our established senior living campus, is currently seeking a qualified and professional Unit Manager (RN) to provide exceptional care for our skilled nursing facility patients. With a newly updated assisted living, skilled nursing facility, and full-service home health and hospice agency, Sierra offers a broad range of services to our clientele. Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Assist the Director of Nursing in the organization and development of the nursing service department's programs and activities in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern nursing care facilities
  • Responsible for implementation of staffing development goals
  • Develop methods for coordination of nursing services with other resident services to enhance the continuity of the residents total regimen of care
  • Implement the ongoing departmental Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement Program
  • Participate in facility surveys & inspections of authorized government agencies
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of an ongoing risk management program for the nursing service department
  • Monitor resident care services to achieve quality outcomes and high customer satisfaction
  • Evaluate programs to promote the recruitment, retention, career development, and continuing education of staff
  • Maintain written policies and procedures that govern the day-to-day functions of the nursing service department

  • Current nursing license (RN)
  • Detail-oriented
  • Experience in skilled nursing or sub-acute care setting preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills with a dedication to providing quality healthcare services
